will try restarting the server
free on epic games
eggsactly
cordela 14 should be fixed in few min
@honest crest same on io 2
@honest crest It's not the servers it's the players. They're from all over the world
I had a suspicion
yeah, if they set region to Worldwide, they will connect to an available server, wherever it is
game on
default region really should be what gives lowest ping to the servers
and MM shouldn't matchmake people into servers where they get 100+ ping unless there's literally no servers in their region
...and this probably isn't the right thread for it lol, ah well
I'm having terrible ping/packetloss/desync with 64 player servers since the free weekend. this is unheard of and on the server browser the affected servers have a ping of ~44 or less before I join. Then on the server my ping is between 80 and 90 and I get constant lags/desyncs.
I'm in Germany and join only official EU servers
this is annoying, unplayable and totally out of my control
the pings are all over the place from 50+ to 400+ and it has nothing to do with my wifi
youd need to be a lot more specific
What more specification do you need, i have high ping in every server randomly and its so frustrating, it wasn't like this before the latest patch and the free giveaway on epicstore
one moment i had 50 fps for few seconds then I have 200+ pings the rest of my day
it was not like this months ago, and I checked my router and my internet provider, there was no issue. Its just mordhau
I am tired of people telling me to check my ISP or my router, there was no problem on my end, its purely Mordhau issue and I need fix or else this game is unplayable for me.
You could give information like:
what servers/region are you connecting to? Since you said it's happening on many servers, I'd recommend keeping track of server names and regions so that devs can provide information specific to connecting to x servers
what time of day is this happening? are you playing in the middle of the day, at night, morning? This information may not be as useful but can give the devs some ground to investigate on
I am connecting to South Asia server, it happens all the time, sometimes it will start at 50 fps when i join the server then after a while it spikes up to 300+ pings. I've tried almost all server including official and unofficial one with same issue still persisting.
I'd recommending finding a server in the server browser, in that region, and connect to it and see if your ping spikes like you said it does. If it does, get the server name (usually it is visible in the Server Browser or at the top of the leaderboard) and report it to the devs so they can observe and see if any issues exist on their end.
I understand you don't believe it is your ISP but if I understand correctly I think their Non-US servers are spread pretty wide and it very well could be a routing issue, as in the path it takes for traffic to get from you to the server could be very long or going through slower nodes that could be slowing down the transfer of data between you and the server
It's every server I join
and if its really routing problem how did I sometimes get good pings, very few seconds, then the ping spiked up every time? If its really a routing problem then I should never have good pings ever.
Where do I report it to dev? It appears to be every server from South Asia
Yeah where you lived would have been good to know right away
@wicked mapleif its both official and non official, then you can try one thing
resetting your configuration files
I have seen work a few times
generally a game itself doesnt cause ping issues
I can see from the screenshot that most pings are normal in that server as well
I think its the game/your pc/local network
clearing the configs would be the only real thing I could suggest
maybe clearing any mods you may have as well
is that suppose to be file's directory?
do you mean appdata/local ?
tried, i have no mods and cleaned my config, reinstalled, still shitty ping on every server
unplayable
the only other thing I can suggest is checking routing
actually your on wifi?
someone had an issue with 5ghz band the other day, very similar to this
until you do more indepth testing its all a guessing game
but generally games themselves dont spike ping
clearing the configs was a long shot
you can check routing, also test with a vpn and mobile data
