So there's quite the interest in keeping this server online, more so than I originally thought.

After reviewing our options it looks like we'll be finding a new developer and manager for UKN. A rebrand of the server is imminent.

The server as you recognise it will not change for now, its current setup will be used as a base while we slowly rewrite and optimise its code, as its quite the mess in some parts.

It's disrespectful to take his work and just use it like we're going to.

But it's also disrespectful taking 100% of the donation money while I'm paying for the server out of my own pocket since its origination, to then attempt to sell the server files to someone else. All due to us not wanting to work with him any longer due to the game ban.

We'll use it as a core and slowly replace his work with our own so our players are not missing out on a server they thoroughly enjoy.

The server will hopefully have no downtime in this transition, we currently have full control over the live server - as we own it. But both parties are not immature enough to just shut it down. That's why I gave a notice in my official statement I guess. I didn't officially state what I posted in here, yet. As something may change.

Skill and experience wise, myself and hoppel are more advanced than 6MyBad. As we're the ones (more so hoppel) that taught him the ropes and helped him when he needed clues etc.

However the thing we lack a lot of is time and motivation.

So to avoid a lot of downtime and rushed code, I'm initially thinking we use what we have for starters and slowly work our way through and merge a new system and new code into the server.
