1. Either go for not building in stuff or allow build in stuff. Not both.
   Can build in cupboard. Can build in like furnaces and other stuff with items in. But no, no boxes close to remove tool.
   Just change so you can't store shit in shit outside boxes.
   But that just mean you still can build in and hide stuff. But need a bigger base. So that fucks and are uneven for 1-3 teams over 4-6 teams. So maybe just allow it?

2. If you can trade in and out of Outpost what is then the reason for blocking TP out and in of Outpost? (Personal just remove all safe scraping, for pvp but well that will make ppl leave server)

3. Lower component drops or scrap amount from components. If you spend an hour farming components you have 200k+ metal from buying metal.
   You can just build a base at a street and wait for component horders to come running... not even close by farming nodes.

4. Lower amount of shotgun shells, fire. Same here you get so extreme amounts you can easy raid bases just by farming components and you get enough shells to create a box explosives.

5. Remove buying grenades from shop, it makes any autoturrets or shotguntraps pointless. Seen naked and raiders meeting a turret/trap step out of raidarea get grenades and clear a autoturret on 10 grenades...

To be fair, I like the server as it is, because knowing these stuff.... This is more point out stuff I felt maybe need some tinkering!

TL:DR, ban / unban inconstancy and no guidelines for appeals is bad. Please make ban/unbans consistent and create some guidelines for appeals or allow a back-and-forth to go into further depth about a ban.

My friend @tidal sky got banned after being DM'd codes to a cheater base through this discord and then using them in game https://imgur.com/a/x0UoOJu (cheater getting banned https://imgur.com/a/npQOmHv ). Others in this discord also got DM'd the codes, because shortly after there was somebody in game, on Rustoria US Main, was telling everyone the code through voice chat. A group of 5 entered in the codes, then got banned. Their ban appeals got accepted, and my friends got denied. They were banned for the same reason, for entering in codes given to them by someone random. There are no specific rules stating anything about entering in codes to a cheaters base after being given them randomly.

With his ban appeal getting denied @desert hare told me that there is no way for him to get unbanned, and that he will have to wait out the ban for a week. I was told that the contents of the ban appeal is all that admins use to judge the situation by. But how are we to know what information specifically you all are looking for in a ban appeal to make it a successful one. I think by not having guidelines for a 'character limited' appeal, that you're setting the appealer up for failure. Without knowing the impact of your words or how to use them you're disadvantaged unjustly. This is similar to the reason why everyone in the United States has the right to an attorney per the "Miranda Rights". I suggest that you remove the permanency of a ban after 1 denied appeal, or/and create guidelines whilst allowing for a back and forth afterwards.

Sometimes we aren't able to come to a 100% conclusion and in those cases bans are not issued, can see how it would look like we should do more but I can assure you that everything we do internally is to the best capability of what we have available to us.

I see no other place to make this suggestion, so here it goes:
First, I think the admins do well with moderating cheating from what I have experienced. I’ve seen cheating on Rustoria the least by far… people actually miss shots! Although I do encounter suspect behavior frequently, the admin team responds to my tickets where I feel 9/10 times the responses given were adequate. Overall, the admin team has been very active and involved with issues I’ve submitted.
With that said, the admin team seems limited by headcount and coverage of different time zones, and my biggest issue is not receiving a response within an adequate timeframe. As you well can imagine, one of the most important aspects of actioning on information received is timeliness. So, the suggestion I’m making is that more admins be added for different time zones. I have submitted tickets and haven’t received responses until 12 hours later. The response was ‘this person is no longer online’, essentially. I understand there is so much admins can do when players are offline, and probably online also, but from my POV it’s a glaring weakness in Rustoria’s ability to moderate cheating adequately when headcount is missing in specific time zones. So, can more admins be added in CST time zones?
Anyway, I would indeed appreciate an ongoing conversation on these specific issues, if desired. Please feel free to contact me. I’m currently working fulltime and going to school, but I do play Rust when I have availability, which has actually been a lot recently.

Currently, this weakness is my #1 priority as I do not sit on issues. We’ve interviewed over 6 new applicants over the last few days with many more to be scheduled. On top of this, we’re focusing primarily on the timezones you mention. The asia pacific time zones also, since we want to launch a server in this region. The slots on our servers are dynamic. This means that the server will automatically increase or decrease the slots, depending on the queue.
This process is fully automated and staff members are not able to change the slots!
Though the slots are dynamic, there will always be a hard limit to guarantee the best performance as well as the overall user experience.
Our Long or Medium servers will not get their slots increased to match our Main servers as that would not meet the expectations of a Long or Medium server.

add the option to whitelist vpns in tickets I've seen many people who have attempted to vpn especially the legitimate chinese players have to deal with a multitude of bans due to them using the same vpns that cheaters have used. Seems like it would save a lot of hassle especially when the bugs that dont allow people to load into the server from specific regions happen. Since any legitimate player that lives in those regions would have to circumvent the connection issue by using a vpn.

Not sure what ban others would want to evade but I’m perma banned for “scripting” on your servers and have 10 thousand hours with no gameban. And had a multiple thousand dollar inventory plus It’s been over a year since I was banned from rustoria and I’m still not gamebanned but I’m permaed from ur servers. Seems a bit excessive to me that I’m permaed and gives me two options, never play ur server again or ban evade and I think if I had a date that I could play again it would lessen the want to evade as that would ruin the chance.

Sorry you're frustrated. We catch an absolutely ridiculous amount of cheaters and the entire team of admins is working 24/7 to follow up on every single player concern. I get though that to you this experience completely negates all the effort you don't see behind-the-scenes that's going on every single day to try to make the servers as best as possible. Unfortunately we're human and we can't be everywhere at once 😦 We always investigate as in-depth as we possibly can, often spending a ton of time on even just one investigation to make sure that everyone is playing as fairly as possible. Wish you could see the work that goes into it but again, I get that you can't from your perspective and it seems like we don't care. Just letting you know it couldn't be further from the truth. Hope you have better experiences in the future, no matter where you play. I just can say 100% that if I was to play anywhere, I'd play on Rustoria, since I do see how many good people try every day to handle as many issues as possible and they're often very successful. If you could see our bans and how far beyond we catch them all before EAC has any clue, I think you'd get it.

We really enjoy rustoria servers because its a fine balance when you are starting on a new wipe.

but what that me and some of the other people i play with are saying is that its to easy to get boom.
we play on eu and us 3x no bps but workbench is needed. but still i think like its to easy to farm to boom.
my suggestions is that maby make it abit harder to gather sulfur like lower the rate you get from does nodes and also dont let the c4 and the charges drop no where same as rockets and so on.

The reason i think it would be nice is that to many are getting offlined by someone whos having unlimited boom. like we experiance the 1 day on a wipe on 3x us.
i went to bed 01.00 at night eu and the guys from us was playing while i was sleeping they went to bed and i just woke up got something to eat and we actully made a big base for 6 people.
10 mins after i was done eating and i came online the base got boomed down our core was even in armored walls and amored dobble doors and many garage doors plus turrets.

Yeah I just really rarely play on modded servers, I am more the true vanilla player. That‘s probably the reason why. Maybe the base needs to be bigger then. I have no clue. Most of the players build the same base as they would on vanilla. (Just a thought)

Whilst I understand that people have taken offense to certain racially or ethnically based insults, and understand that people try to avoid filters by using other words, an no tolerance policing policy isn't the way to prevent things. People will always find ways to be vulgar and racist but policing in this way just harms innocent people more. A ban to the offensive word is understandable. This word is used as a racially charged insult which there should be no tolerance for. Additionally, people trying to avoid the ban by using other spellings to insult people in the same way should receive the same punishment. But banning the use of a country is not only heavy-handed but also quite derogatory to the people of the country. Reducing the name of the country to the insult which shares it's part may cause serious offense to someone of that nation. To say that the words are equivalent is only helping to perpetuate the derogatory views others have of people from that area.

Theoretical assumptions aside, the only people that are hurt by zero tolerance policies are the innocent people who help fund your server. I, like many others, have bought VIP passes to your server and the lack of support available in the face of an unjust sentencing makes me question that decision. The people who are aware of the ban on the word will not only avoid its use and find another way to be derogatory and insult people, but will use this well-hidden fact to hurt the other innocent players of the server. The zero tolerance policy only serves to add even more fire to the already vast arsenal of the delinquents.

What I personally don't understand is why a warning isn't given. Just a quick "Hey, this word has been used to insult people, please don't use it or you will be muted!" would suffice. I understand there are likely difficulties with the mod regarding this but this chat went on for a while before I, like many others, fell into the carefully woven trap. There was ample time for the likely many chat moderators to step in and say "This word is banned on this server, if you use it you will be muted, you have been warned." I also understand there can't be a "list of banned words" as not only will that help the current predicament but a list of vulgar words being publicly displayed would not look good for your company. But policing a word which, to the vast majority of people, has no derogatory meaning whatsoever, with absolutely no recourse for appealing the heavy-handed punishment just seems contradictory to your aims of a fair and just server.

I'm not saying there's an easy solution but for there to be no support available for the victims in this situation almost seems tyrannical. And I'm aware that a 12 hour mute isn't the end of the world but the message being portrayed is that support isn't available for those who need it and that lack of trust which, for myself and I assume for many others, that is created from this lack of support would mean many would be less likely to support you in the future. I just think its something worth thinking about and implore you to reconsider this harsh, zero tolerance punishment.

Sorry that you're frustrated with it - just need to please realize that Rust is a unique context and there are certain things that are a "learn and move forward" type thing. It sucks that there isn't a more favorable way around it and sure, it can absolutely cause a temporary setback in the form of a chat mute for a first offense. Thankfully incredibly easy to avoid in the future. Years ago I was baited into saying something in chat on the servers, received a mute, recognized the issue and never had a single problem after. It's a good general rule that if a Rust player is trying to get you to type something in chat that they probably don't have the best intentions. Lesson learned. It's really not something to lose it over, at least in my opinion. Those who do bait that crap are handled, normally receiving a 3 day mute and consequences escalating quickly if they choose to continue. Not every single rule can be articulated in a line item form unfortunately - seems like you're clearly aware now of the issue with the word and can go on without any problem whatsoever. A ridiculous amount of players never have any issue and the majority of those who do get caught up with it, once receiving the explanation, totally get it and move on with their lives, continuing to play the game and to just have fun. It doesn't seem like something that will change so hopefully you're able to adapt by just not saying it - I'm North American so that specific slur which is contained in the country's name isn't as impactful really over here and I didn't have the same awareness originally but I sympathize with that it's very racially charged and derogatory in other parts of the world, so an easy trade off to just not use it while playing on the server. Yes, the globally recognized country of Pakistan. You probably couldn't tell because the way it's being referred to as the boogeyman, but there is nothing wrong with this word. Pakistan is the way to refer to the country by name. No one from Pakistan thinks that their countries name is a slur. So why do the NA mods here think that Pakistan is a slur?

Citing Rust as some unique context as if censoring is exclusive to Rust, the best idea I have at why the mods consider a countries literal name to be a slur is from netspl0it when he said that originally it was just the ACTUAL ethnic slur against Pakistani people that was censored, but as a way to get around this censor people started using the literal name: Pakistan.

I don't think the mods realize that by unnecessarily censoring a countries name, like Pakistan, they've created a Streisand effect of people baiting in chat by using a completely normal word. ZenZen says "oh, well if someone wants you to say something in chat you probably shouldn't"... Instead of expecting new players to anticipate invisible land mines like the word Pakistan, you could just use smart censoring. Censoring the ethnic slur itself makes complete sense, but by censoring a legitimate word that is used as a countries name, you are only giving it more attention as a no-no word to be abused by people baiting in chat. The amount of people using "Pakistan" as a slur must be absolutely microscopic, and in most contexts wouldn't even make sense. You can't censor people entirely, the best you can do is negate as much as possible - reasonably. This is not reasonable.

Instead of tagging me and Slizzy, I'd actually appreciate if you'd reply to the wall of text that @strong umbra sent that explains all of this very, very well. I haven't really seen a response to what he said, nothing logical anyways; just the same thing implying that Pakistan is the same word as the ethnic slur that we're discussing, which it obviously is not.

And obviously if you're expecting your players to "adapt" to non-sensical rules that aren't adequately explained, then I'm not really sure why you even have a feedback channel - I think you guys are very much set on your path and don't need anyone to tell you how to run your servers. Again, totally get where you each are coming from - I think it's a bit of an exaggeration that it's implying that the country's name is a derogatory term as well and there isn't much a significant Streisand effect - players try to get others muted all kinds of ways and it just happens to be one of them. I do agree that some more discussion can happen about possible alternatives to the moderation as it stands now and that's something that I'll absolutely follow up on internally. A lot of what's been said though is completely blowing things out of proportion - to dismiss my previous statement that a Rust server is a unique context doesn't quite get the point - it means there are certain things that go along with just talking on a game server and it's not some formal public forum for hashing out world politics - it's a survival game and most talk revolves around in-game elements and unfortunately it can have its limitations. To say that because your issue isn't resolved in the manner you prefer means that the feedback channel doesn't actively and hasn't historically helped a ridiculous amount of players is completely silly. You can feel free to dismiss an entire medium that has enacted a crazy amount of changes on the servers because you didn't get your way with one single aspect of the servers, alright. The suggestions placed here, normally about game mechanics, balance issues, maps, other server features is taken to heart and many result in positive changes, for years now, from the playerbase. We care... a lot. And the support that we provide to many thousands of players for a huge variety of issues every month, to say we don't care, in the form of lack of support, about our players, is just again, not true (specifically Aliator's comment above). But your issue may not be resolved in the way you want, sadly that could be a reality, and you retain the right to feel like you yourself having received the support you'd want. Unfortunately there's times when not everyone can be happy but I do hope you recognize that I'm (and other admins) are taking the time to field this stuff while also handling everything else we are right now, namely in-game cheaters and the like, but I didn't want to leave you hanging for a response. It will be discussed further - I won't just write it off. I don't want to promise any change but your feedback is heard and is considered and will continue to be considered. Maybe at some point there will be a tweak to the way it's handled now but I think at this point everything that's been said is sufficient and nothing really new will come of it. I do hope you know how much we care - we're not trying to deal out "tyrannical" mutes. Hey, I'm sorry you feel this way 😦 Probably doesn't matter to you what my opinion is since you see me as the problem perhaps due to my role, but I truly believe, having known the staff and all the admin team for awhile now, that there's a lot of awesome people who are trying their hardest every day to help as many players as possible and provide as good of a place as they can for others to enjoy Rust. There's some situations where everyone isn't going to be happy (we're human, there can be tough calls, disagreements, etc), and banning is definitely the least favorite part of the role (except it does feel good removing as many cheaters as we can obviously - but times when it's enforcing the rules but I'd rather see the person just having a nice time, still have to be fair to everyone equally), but even if you're pissed at us or upset, I really do just want you to have a good time and I'm sorry if there was some misunderstanding. If you DM me I'll gladly spend the time to look into your situation and see if there's any opportunity for improvement or for you to better understand whatever it is. Feel free to vent though or take it out on me, but I wouldn't be here if I didn't see how much these other people care. No one is a dick, no one has any like ego or power issues at all whatsoever. If you think someone is cheating, much better than reporting a whole group like "E4 group is cheating" "This clan is all cheaters ADMINS PLEASE BAN", stuff like that, single out the player you find most suspicious and we'll gladly look as in-depth as humanly possible at them. It's much more fine to spam F7 reports though, that doesn't hurt, but when it comes to an in-game ticket (/ticket add (your report)), it's much better to be specific and narrow down the most suspicious player or two.

The population limits are not set arbitrarily, and do flex somewhat with demand, but never at the cost of stability / quality. They are set to both the spirit of the server, where main servers have the highest population and small servers have the lowest - as well as attuning to server stability, to ensure that those who are playing don't suffer from reduced quality due to overpopulating. It would be amazing if the EU 2x Vanilla would only wipe one time a week and not 2. For example like the Eu 2x Vanilla could wipe on a tuesday and wouldn’t wipe until next tuesday. Do you have the name of the person you reported? Checking all your past reports and only one person was banned, however you did not report them using a ticket, you reported them using F7 which is a direct report to Facepunch, not us. Therefore you did not even receive a ticket response to that report.

The slots on our servers are dynamic. This means that the server will automatically increase or decrease the slots, depending on the queue.
This process is fully automated and staff members are not able to change the slots!
Though the slots are dynamic, there will always be a hard limit to guarantee the best performance as well as the overall user experience.
Our Long or Medium servers will not get their slots increased to match our Main servers as that would not meet the expectations of a Long or Medium server.

No plans and I hope that Rust make the right call to remove the old recoil code from the game, to make it not possible for servers to revert to it. I truly think this recoil change will benefit the game, open the door up to many more players. Then as for the skill gap concerns, there's 100s of other skills to practice and become better at than just recoil alone. There will be a noticeable gap between new and old players still, and if anything the game may even get easier for these advanced players due to the more nooby ones finally being able to be confident leaving their base with a gun.

Another good idea: A dubstep radio station for Rustoria and Dubstep musing when you are connecting to Rustoria servers (Maybe Skrillex?) and Dubstep themed skins for Rustoria (Vanilla US Main).

Another idea: Planes. Add planes (Custom Plugin). Add them to Rustoria.co US Main (Most popular Rustoria.co server) (Along with EU Main). Planes can be a great addition because theyre fast and will be fun to shoot down others players while theyre in planes and can have dog fights like WW2 and will be in the sky maybe like zepplin from WW2 (Axis vs Allied) (Zergs vs Solos) (Solos planes are better than zerg planes to balance it) (Because zergs are OP on MAIN). This would be very cool because if you can customize a minicopter you can get a minigun mounted on the front of it, and then you could blow up the flying boats. I'm pretty sure that making any other server with the old recoil pattern is going to be outdated very soon. Every new player to the game following the force wipe will obviously be learning the new recoil and will not have idea about the old recoil. With time, when player base keeps getting replaced, there would be less and less players that are familiar with recoil. On top of that, all official servers will be using the new recoil and probably most of modded/community servers. Is it really worth making a server with old recoil pattern (if it's even possible or how possible), which will be known by less people everyday.
I'm positive that @willow sedge understands that since the new recoil change will make game significantly more accessible for newer players. Now you won't have to spend countless hours playing UKN servers only practising aim (which is just a small part of the game) for a a while so you can even be competitive in PVP with players who are good with recoil patterns. Sure the new pattern is a big hit for everyone who already invested all that time into learning it but in the bigger picture, it's definitely a really good positive change for the game in a long run. On top of that, you still keep all the gamesense, callouts etc. which you had before change. I hope that no rustoria servers will support old recoil, the only way I could imagine would be a dedicated UKN server with just pvp arenas with old recoil but that would probably eventually die out as well.

well it might be news to you but theres a subset of the player base whose favorite part of the game is/was the skill that it takes to master the spray patterns and the reward you previously got from mastering them. myself included. Theres no other game ive found that the guns feel satisfying to use in imo because i absolutely hate bloom. quake has really low pop and csgo and r6 are really slow pace so its like what else do i play if i dont enjoy the shooting anymore

@jade adder @signal belfry I was mostly referencing comments about that from my friends and others on staging ukn we played as soon as it was available. most of players at the time were saying that long distance spraying is harder now but it's possible that's not the case anymore, given people had some time to practice.
I understand and expect there to be a split but you have to take in account that rust, is a survival game for the better part and not fps shooter. While gun play is a big part of the game, it's not what makes it rust. There is soo much more to do in game, just than pvping, if someone wants to play a pure fps shooter csgo, val etc are always there.
The players you keep talking about, that purely pvp and don't care much about else is small compared to general game pop. You can see that there are around 70k avg playing rust, out of those, how many you think that will actually get soo mad with the update that will stop playing the game, just because of that. I have no idea, nobody does but I think it's safe to assume that it's less than 10%.
Now look at the other side, what about all the new players, who don't need to invest 100's of hours in pvp servers just to be good at shooting.
In this instance, at least I believe that positives outweigh the negatives. It's true that update sucks for everyone that is good at pvp and mastered recoil, but on the other hand you're making game way more accessible for new players which will make it easier for them to start it playing.

At the end of the day, we can only speculate until we see what happens after today, but I have to say I'm very excited to know that Rustoria will use the new system exclusively.

I agree that it's probably a business decision by them to do that to some extent, to welcome more players into the game. But is it necessarily a bad business decision for players is what we should ask. Example of a bad business decision for players would be example of pay to win guns and similar, i think we can agree on that. For this change tho, is benefiting more or less players? I'd argue it's going to be benefit more players, since easier recoil will give more players easier way into the game and also make game little more easy and enjoyable for current players, where their skill will be more equal. I really believe that more players that I mentioned at first exist rather than the ones who will be hurt.
Where you mentioned the unique skills, i think that Rust by itself is such an unique game which takes a while to learn regardless of recoil. Take for example val, it takes few 10's of hours to learn, league 100's of hours, what about rust? I'd say the number is getting closer to 1000 in that instance. Rust is just way harder to learn than most other games so just simply taking that away doesn't change it as much as most think it will .

Vips have to be limited to allow people that are able to join the server to have the best game experience, we can't provide unlimited vips as unfortunately even with the best hardware on the market we are not able to push the server size.
Also some servers require a different game experience than others, medium and long are not meant to have as much people online as main, same for small. At the end if we have the popularity we have right now it's because of the kind of servers and gameplay we are providing and part of it is linked to the limits in place.

Suggestion about Dedicated Player Role

As of now, the role requires 2000 Hours on a single (from my understanding) Rustoria server, which is a significant amount of time. The only ''incentive'' to get the role right now is just a different color on Discord.
I was wondering if you guys would consider giving another ''perk'' to that role, where every Dedicated Player would also get an extra /s for having the role. Maybe only on the server they got it on, not sure. You could easily argue that dedicated player is way harder to get than booster, which gets an extra point and supply signal.

I think it would definitely give some more people incentive to play and get it, if nothing else they'll get one extra shop point which is pretty nice. Maybe some kind of another perk, like /kit dedicated etc. would be nice thing as well, maybe little shorter bag time etc.
Since the role is really hard to get already, the value it would give to the player shouldn't affect other players as much.

To be honest tho, they did ask about the country Pakistan, and not the derogatory word itself; while everyone should get muted for saying the offensive word, getting muted for just saying a country name is a bit odd. It's even stated on the link you've sent, where it says that the word ''P-aki'' is the offensive word and not the country Pakistan.
I'd assume that you get muted for saying Pakistan because of the auto mute system, for which I assume will mute you for any word, as long as it includes letters ''p-aki'' in it, so you could say made up words, like sopaki / paking / odpakin etc. and get muted regardless, or are both words, ''p-aki'' and Pakistan banned by default?

One think I realized is the most people that get muted in chat for hate speech is only if it’s directed towards a group with a moderator As an example if I say I hate Turks or … and they don’t have mods you will not get muted but if they do you will. This just feels like double standards

I can agree that if you target a group containing a staff member there is more chances that it will be handle, but not because of any kind of discrimination but because the staff member is directly involved in the situation and read the chat at this moment. In other words : there is more chance that the original message is seen.

Also, I'd just like to point out that ever since map size has been increased on 5x trio US the fps has gotten significantly better FPS. I personally went from 40 FPS at outpost to around 80, outside of that it's always around 100 or more where it was 50-80 earlier.
Same thing has been observed by some other players I've asked in the server so it seems it's kinda happening with most players.
Whatever has been changed there please keep the change, the FPS has been really horrible as of recent and if I look back to around 2020 I'd say the FPS is around similar to that time.

In the past few months, trio 5x us has been one of the worst performing servers for me and many other players I've spoken to, despite them being advertised as really good fps and performance. But ever since Tuesday the good FPS is back which everyone is quite happy about.

This Pakistan auto 6 hour mute might be one of the dumbest things I've seen on a server before. Some guy baits the server by saying "What country starts with P and ends with stan?" and me and 20 people get muted for 6 hours.

Feels like the negatives of a bunch of people logging off in frustration outweigh the benefits of banning the name of a country for the small percentage of people who would use it (I don't even understand how) in a derogatory way

Clans seem to count resources farmed on modded servers but don't do the same for kills. Also, resources are off, compared to total misc. Also, it would be nice if clan invite lasted longer than few hours

The devs are always doing everything possible to maintain and improve the servers - totally get any frustration though and it doesn't hurt to blow off steam, but having seen behind-the-scenes for a good while now I get to see how many good people are working hard every single day to provide an awesome place to enjoy Rust. But things happen and there are bumps in the road at times. If you have more specific feedback beyond "fix [it]", always welcome and we can direct it to the relevant party to see what can always be made better if possible.
