One suggestion would be that when the wipe starts it shouldn't be raining because that makes people with bad PCs have a hard time and makes it so you can't go to certain places because of the wetness

I'm here to make several suggestions that many people will agree with. I'd like to ask that it not start raining when the wipe begins; it's something I just don't understand. I also want to suggest that the maps be more visually appealing and not so overpowered for the Zergs, because it's difficult for a small group to play in a location with Zergs right next to you, making it impossible to play. They should also check for cheaters more often; the number of cheaters is outrageous. For example, during the Monday wipe, there was a guy with 500 hours in the game, using his head and tracking everything. Without exaggerating, my team and I reported him, and they said he was innocent... That's all.

Hey what would you guys think about letting content creators have a direct channel to moderators. No proof required, questions asked later. This would fix so many problems with the difficulties of content creation on rustoria servers. I know this may create some problems with creators abusing the system but it if they falsely report someone you should just instantly remove the permission from them. Creators could simply just report the most blatant ones to not get into any trouble

Rustoria US Main needs to become a premium server. Everytime I try to build a hotel in the spawn point, I run into blatant cheaters on accounts that were very obviously hacked and resold. So many players with <10 hours ever played on Rustoria Main, that have accounts that haven't played rust in 2+ years, that start with a bow and hit every single shot at any distance and cause so much damage before they are banned or log off to play on a different server. I don't see how these players aren't filtered out by a basic bot. I see 15+ accounts like this every single wipe, I don't even bother reporting all of them.

There are also way too many villages on Rustoria US Main, that raid with cheaters on similar hacked accounts, where the village never gets banned for association because they are all in different bases, yet without the cheaters they would fail every raid. This is a major problem on Rustoria, that these groups don't get banned for association when they know the cheaters they are raiding with are cheating on alt accounts.

And, Rustoria admins are way to quick to close tickets, with very little investigation. They never seem to take into account battlemetrics or steamhistory.net. And, the admins aren't taking into account that a lot of these players toggle their hacks on when they are in certain situations. I have 17,500 hours and I only go to the trouble of creating a rustoria ticket on the website when I am 99% certain the player was cheating. It's insulting when my tickets get closed after 20-30 minutes. And then later I get a notification that the player was banned by EAC. This has already happened once this wipe when a rustoria admin closed a ticket early, on an account that was very obviously hacked and resold.

Premium servers is a masquerade, it doesn't protect against cheaters, when you spend 20$/month (for the cheap ones) on a cheat you dont'care about spending 10/20 more on a few accounts every month, but on the other hand it tend to drop the pop 🙁

On the reports side of things, we do what we can in all situations, and behind the scenes there is a lot more investigation than the average Rust player can appreciate, sadly. Unfortunately, an account that has low hours, or that you deem suspicious because you've checked their BM public profile, or Steam scraping websites, doesn't constitute the basis for a ban - plenty of people buy accounts to play legitimately, because it's significantly cheaper than buying the game at full price, people have alts for various reasons, including deliberate attempts to aggravate individuals like yourself. The limited public information you can see doesn't automatically mean they're cheating. We will investigate tickets to the full extent possible at the time of the report. Your experience with anti-cheat is how it goes sometimes. Anti-cheat has kernel level access to player computers, admins have their eyes and little else. We are supplementary, not primary, and are significantly quicker in most situations despite these limitations. But for togglers, there's little we can do if we don't see cheating ourselves. It does not however mean that the account is disregarded or whitelisted, we're always happy to check at a more opportune moment when given that opportunity. We cannot however just ban people willy nilly without evidence, and whilst frustrating in certain situations, this threshold for bans is ultimately a safeguard for legitimate players, otherwise we would just be banning anyone for any reason, evidence or not - that's not how we do things here I'm afraid!

Hopefully this analogy will help you understand how official servers work, and why what you're describing cannot work:

1. McDonalds gives you a licence to open a restaurant with their official branding. (Facepunch gives you an official server)

2. You decide to start selling Burger King burgers, to attract more customers, with just a simple name change on the menu (You change a server's name / style, because it will entice RP'ers)

3. McDonalds sees you doing this, and shuts down your restaurant, because it is no longer McDonalds (FP blacklist you, because you are not running the official server as per the terms of the agreement)

What I'm simply stating, a name change on a server, costs a whopping 20 dollars to move. There is no change in resources, there are no changes in rules, nor does changing a simple name in context on the Server list, that does not break any contractual obligations. Its a same server, Rustoria already has, that has 0 pop on it. Its a fresh server at that point for RP Purposes. There is nothing that changes on Rustoria's side that would break any contractual obligations. I can go down the list and see tons of empty servers. I'm attempting to lure RP Players, so we have a "FRESH" start to bring people back to the game. Nobody wants to play with incessant pissants and shitty adults that enable the Emotional Maturity of a child, and impress on them that the behavior is okay. Emotional neglect on others is disguting and toxic. Rustoria has such an enormous racism and general disgust. I love a lot of the players here, as I'm literally only 20 hours in that has helped me, but I cannot fight back. I cannot turn my mouse fast enough or concentrate enough, due to the cyst in my spinal cord blocking the nervous system from operating properly. I'm asking, where can I go to RP, and play where I can concentrate on my Cognitive function/coordination without having idiots on my door every two minutes?

I believe that change is part of life, and the question of occupying part of it... that's rust.
I think my suggestion is valid, as I've said for years that there hasn't been a significant change to the map, like "a change to some biome or a new monument," and I think the Bandit would greatly alleviate the FPS drop in the Safezone.

The distribution of FPS consumption in that specific region becomes much heavier than when there are 2 monuments and it separates the issue of vending machines, helicopter NPCs, etc.

We don't enforce team limits on any of our official servers. The UI limits are simply representative of the vibe of a server - it doesn't make sense to have a UI of 14 on a server with 150 pop. If you have a large team, you'll be more comfortable on a server more suited for that style of play 🙂

How come US Main has 6/6 map voting options without the Jungle and US Small does not? US Small would benefit much more without the jungle since it has a smaller map size which limits the amount of monuments. Mainly to avoid to keep the queue blocked virtually while players are waiting to join, unfortunately the queue protection doesn't only intervene when players are crashing but in a lot of other cases, the 2 minutes is a good balance that allow most players to initiate the reconnection. The 2 minutes is between the disconnection and the moment you initiate the connection, it's way more than most people need to reach this point.

The only restrictions that we place on building, is for walling off outpost. Building of any kind beyond that is permitted (provided it doesn't cause server-wide stability issues, which what you're describing doesn't) and that's just the nature of official Rust I'm afraid, it's largely unmoderated in this regard, given that it is supposed to represent an unfettered, vanilla version of the game. 🙂

Is it possible for the next set of maps next wipe, specifically on US Long Premium, to have a better balance of monument locations/options?
For example, Launch Site seems to end up in the snow almost every wipe. I understand that may have been voted on at one point, but if so, would it be possible to vote on it again and see if this is still true?

There’s not many physical locations on the west coast that have good ddos protection for Rust.

Most server providers we use, only use west coast locations as scrubbing centres as most attacks towards US targets are coming from west coast (as thats the common internet route for traffic originating from asia/china) where most attacks/botnets operate from

However the side effect of that is we’d be alienating most of the US as well. Right now Texas is a great point for a server. It’s slap bang in the middle of all of the americas. Prime internet routing for the majority.

Plus having a west coast server would bring more players from Asia which is also a conflict to our dedicated Asia servers

The 12 man group that I reported over a month ago, that was logging in 5 blatant cheaters the whole day, when a rustoria admin banned 1 of them for a suspicous account, but for some reason allowed him to play on another suspicous account got banned by the anti cheat, and now the leader of that 12 man group also got banned by the anti cheat. You misunderstood my entire point. I have 17,500 hours, I dont report people just because they have low hours or no skins. I report people that are blatantly cheating. And, I only go to the trouble of making a Rustoria ticket on the website when I am 99% sure the player is cheating. And 99% of the time if a Rustoria admin doesn't ban them, they get banned by the anti cheat. If i had the tools Rustoria admins have to spectate people, to view vods of specific times in the server, I would easily ban 50 cheaters every single wipe on Rustoria Main. I haven't played on Rustoria Main since that wipe, and I won't build a hotel on Rustoria Main, until the admins do a better job of banning the most blatant cheaters that run rampant on the server, ruining everyone's wipe.
