3 simple sugestions for BR servers:

• Make BR main Premium ( there some low level cheaters that always come back with ZEROed accounts)
• Merge BR Long into BR Main ( br main is too low pop by sunday )
• Make BR main into Biweekly ( so Long people can easily adapt to this new style )

Making a long a main won't transfer the pop, it's not because you make a banana red that it becomes an apple, at best long players will move to medium but main will remain the same (if we were to rename them)

Now Premium for BR is not possible, the ratio of players in south america with premium account is way lower than other region, you would just kick 60% of the current pop without replacing them

Agreed when It about EU or NA servers, but currently Rustoria is the only BR servers, so population is already concentrated to this servers, and other BR players go play Main on NA because of the population.

any news on updates or more changes being made to hopefully push people back towards @winter spear ? loved the way the loot tables worked over there and still felt like a "fair" 2x without everyone looting guns from toolboxes 5 seconds into wipe

kinda feel like a group limit would help it as tbh it did always feel like a "beginner friendly server" but that was before the random zergs joined in and started offlining the whole server forcing newer players out (its just the way the game is played theres always going to be big groups but it would be nice to see like a 6-10 player max limit to avoid it becoming a 2nd choice for people that get early raided on other servers to join a smaller pop 2x to make half of the pop die out by end of day 1)

i understand that but its gonna need to be rebranded in some way, i dont mind the lack of group limit but seeing as a large majority of players on the 2x while it was alive were clearly new (one of my team members included) it could have been a reason for them to move to other servers due to larger groups taking it over post jungle update

it could also be they realised it was a more beginner friendly server and decided to move over to something a little more competitive but the 2x did have a really good community going on for it, alot of players knew eachother and there were huge rivalries even with the twice-weekly wipe schedule

therefore the chances of it to be in the map is quite low (it's not a mandatory monument in our generation)

i'm pretty sure there would've been maps in the map vote that had the monument. when players voted for the maps, they may have chosen maps that did not have the ziggurat or maybe they didn't care to check for it.

It's essentially impossible to guarantee Ziggurat spawns on all small maps, due to the small map size. As you can see, we're limited even with T2 monuments (airfield, train, power, etc).

There are times when small maps due have Ziggurat, but it will be rare, unfortunately no way around that for the time being

I've just pushed 3 maps through for the next vote cycle, all which include Ziggurat

Its clear after watching a certain group play today, most of us cannot tell what crosses the line and deserves punishment, most people were also just playing normally (from what i've read, i cannot personally verify this statement) and were caught in a crossfire basically, there needs to be more consistency and transparency.

I had people I personally know banned on Cargo Ship because they happened to counter a certain streamer who was doing the monument like any other player. Does contesting streamers at POI's count as sniping? Are players not allowed to play the game when a streamer is doing a certain thing at a point in time?

Stream sniping is up to admins discretion, so wouldn't it make sense to openly state what you guys do not allow to provide a smoother experience for players?

The bans you're speaking of are only temporary. For any and all bans, including temporary bans, players get a fair chance to appeal. If they feel their appeal was handled incorrectly or unfairly, they can speak to management and get it reviewed.

I'm sure your feedback about the wording of the rules will be reviewed, but in my opinion, it is written the way it should be written and is unlikely to change.

If you are going to enforce stream sniping rules, at least let the players know what is generally prohibited. I understand the loop hole problem, but at least having a general idea would be 10000000 times better than just having a vague message saying "don't stream snipe we will ban you". I think people would actually PREFER the more detailed description. I'd like to weigh in on this as a stream sniping veteran / expert or goat of stream sniping , If you specify the rules that allows players like me to bypass it, I actually hate Rustoria left it as is because for this reason they get the free hand in banning anyone who they seem fit for the tiltle of streamsniping, and for this reason I always avoid sniping rustoria partners, for example something I do do quite often is softsiding stone externals so that most of the individuals base would decay, Rustopia's definition is very blunt on the topic, doesn't exceed to all the ground breaking / meta tactics that a sniper of my caliber would use, I would say that the way they wrote it is the most optimal way compared to other server's definition, tho I do not like this since this means I can't snipe some rustoria partners on toria servers

I've single handedly made over made dozens of streamers rage quit the game / streaming overall so my opinion is based on my long experience in the field

Can someone please for next update find some maps that are decent? Us low pop map is trash this wipe when it was so good last wipe. It feels like majority of players have congested themselves to a 5x5 grid and its like im playing 500 pop permanently from noon-midnight

All maps are voted on from a pretty broad spectrum of different maps - the players themselves decide the map. If you have specific features that you'd like to suggest, then feel free to do so. Unfortunately, "decent maps" is a hugely subjective thing to say, as your idea of decent may not correlate with another player's, and doesn't give us anything in terms of feedback we can action. 🙂

The premise of the clan popularity at its peak was the difficulty and skill ceiling required of the clans that played here, to put it bluntly: It was difficult to dominate, so only the best, most well-organised clans were able to compete. What you're suggesting is a departure from that premise towards servers that historically made it easier for clans to play - no BPs, bigger team UIs, less communication skills required, easier to build etc. And that may well be a direction we could take things, not for me to say - just an observation.

The migration to 2x is more of a general symptom of the game itself from my perspective, as steps have been taken to limit pace of progression (respawn caps for high pop was a big one), we're not the only large official servers that have seen a decrease in popularity with clans in favour of 2x servers, because people got tired of the grind, and the 2x meta provides an alternative that requires slightly less effort in terms of farming, and a faster pace without compromising the experience too much.

Your feedback is registered though, I'll be sure to bring it up internally. On a side note, if there are clan leaders that want to discuss feedback like this one on one - my DMs are always open, just send a request and we can have a chat about it.

Unfortunately with the low pop (and even Small servers), the maps are so small in comparison, that Rust really struggles to generate monuments in a way that is more appealing. I do my best to ensure we push the best maps out, but on smaller sized maps it's sometimes more challenging.

Fix random spawns or disable, look at loot tables, make it slightly more based on vanilla rather than only comps loot tables. Gathers should be 2x only, stick to that and as for smelting and crafting goes i would recommend max increase should be from 1.25x to 1.5x to keep its still more as an vanilla experience. For the UI limit hm.. would honestly kept it at 8 as I also played once as a 13 man and it was manageable and an unique experience.

I’ve noticed that the quality of the administration has dropped significantly lately. Ticket response times have become much longer, and when you do get a quick reply, it’s often just a generic copy-paste response without any proper investigation.

Very often, real issues seem to be ignored or swept under the rug. I understand that some cases may require more time to handle, but the reality is that admins are simply not present for most of the day. This is clearly visible from the lack of bans and the fact that no one is actively monitoring or optimizing the server to prevent lag.

I hope the administration can pay more attention to these issues and improve their presence and support quality.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Here are both my tickets and some from my friend as examples of what led to this conclusion:

My tickets:
• #32a424 – Asked for at least a basic check (Steam or shooting). Player had only 8 hours total, and there was a cheater living in that exact spot before — same behavior. Ticket was closed quickly.
• #77034 – I mistakenly wrote 467h, but the player actually had only 10 hours total. He was shooting like a very experienced player and had suspicious lag right before dying. The ticket was closed with “everything is fine,” but it really didn’t seem like there was any actual observation.

Friend’s tickets:
• #ad7964 – Obvious cheat (LWH, new account, 20h). Closed without proper investigation.
• #547d5a – Clear WH cheat, new account with 10h total, Steam and BattleMetrics links provided. Closed very fast.
• #2ebc1f – WH + aimbot, new account, multiple proofs provided. Closed without visible action.

All of these reports were made around 10–14 hours ago, and they were either closed extremely quickly or without any clear follow-up. The common pattern here is brand-new accounts (10–20 hours) playing like pros — which is usually a big red flag.

It honestly feels like tickets are just being skimmed over, maybe only checking basic stats, without any real in-game observation. I understand that not every report results in a ban, but some of these are pretty blatant.

Also, I’ve noticed the server population has dropped recently, and I strongly believe unchecked cheaters are part of the reason. This isn’t meant as an attack — I really hope the ticket handling process can get more attention again, because right now it feels much less thorough than it used to.

32a424/c77034 / ad7964 / - same player for all 3 tickets, this player is banned (as of earlier this morning), their teammate was banned yesterday - neither are going to be unbanned.

547d5a / 2ebc1f - This player was banned a few minutes ago.

To be clear - there isn't a single ticket that is skimmed over, or that aren't investigated to the full extent possible at the time. There are however criteria that we need to be able to fulfil in order to issue a ban, if the situation at the time of the report isn't sufficient to be able to conduct a full investigation, these are left for internal review when such an investigation is possible.

Unfortunately due to the setup of the ticket system, it isn't particularly easy to go back and retroactively respond with an update in the original ticket itself, if a player is banned a bit later. Will take that limitation under advisement.

There is however a system in place for updating you if a player you F7 reported is banned by us, but it requires you to be linked via discord to get the notification from our bot.

It's unfortunate you got the impression you got, as our response time has decreased massively on average this year, something we're proud of, and at no point have we let that response time affect the quality of investigations, and our rate of catching cheaters and removing suspicious accounts has skyrocketed well beyond last year's stats.

Can only try and assure you that we're committed to providing the best support possible in this regard, and will continue to do so - it's always deeply saddening for me personally to read this kind of feedback in spite of the tireless work that goes in to keeping the servers as fair as possible - it's particularly difficult as a player with a limited view of the overall effectiveness to grasp, so whilst I completely understand and accept your experience, it's not at all representative of us as a whole.

I will take your experience here into consideration as we move forwards this year. Thanks for taking the time to write it

My thought process is that, if I’m not mistaken, Rustoria somewhat recently hosted Bunnyyy’s Hapis, which is significantly more modded than the map I’m talking about. My map only uses vanilla monuments, and doesn’t even depend on the rustedit oxide DLL. It’s only custom terrain/cliffs with bridges.

We used to host it somewhat regularly alongside Syfex’s hapis on Rustafied zenlabs for the better part of a year.

I really think the map would be a great fit for official vanilla servers. I’d love to provide a copy of the map file for you and your team to consider. 🙂

On monthly servers the biggest issue that big clan walling monoments or very big teritory. Is making server feel dead. Should be some restriction to doing this so server can be more alive

While it doesn’t take much to take down a turret, the issue now becomes there’s more turrets behind those turrets, the roads are blocked because of these turrets and they stay that way until a larger Zerg takes them down or they stay up all wipe. US Long H2 had that whole entire section walled off, the jungle was walled off from I believe C-D11ish and it went for several several grids until it forced you into a heart beat turret trap. It’s either wait for it to decay or you just can’t go through. Turrets need restricted from directly along the road which will actually bring back better plays like roof plays.

Hey can we please keep BP wipes? My group joined this server and now its the only server we play for the past year. We ALL joined this server becuase its BP wipe. We want to play the game as intended by the devs, and are super excited for the naval content. BP wipes are what made the grind feel valued. I play long for the slow game when I can make time. I feel rushed on weekly or bi weekly, but having BPs right out the gate just feels cheap and takes the fun away. Along with the whole turrets and wall funneling roads off several grids issues which kills the mood for solos. I’ll still be joining for the wipe, but it won’t be for keeping BPs into the next wipe. I do however think maybe there could be a happy medium somewhere? Weekly clan shout outs which puts focus on them whether in a Zerg or solo. Gives them the lime light and the hot seat. Let it auto populate the feed weekly. Community also values being included. Make a poll on decisions being tossed around and let the people decide. US for US servers, UK for UK servers and so forth.

Also, if you’re facing an issue regarding US Long, let us know too. Server costs, too much space, not enough activity, too toxic, ect. The best way to kill something is to make everyone feel like they arnt valued

Since finding Rustoria, I've felt there isn't another server that comes close to the experience of a more natural progression and community that comes with it. Rustoria might be the only server with population that still lets Facepunch decide the content but now it seems even Rustoria wants their server to lose the core reasons behind their community's enjoyment. If its a money issue please dont take from your most loyal community to solve it. We want vanilla, please stop with the modded changes to blueprints memory. Hey, I understand your concerns about the BP wipes, however I want to see how it fairs, I think we'd all want to see a higher pop US Medium and US Long and it seems No BP wipes are what is making servers more popular these days. There's been countless requests on the contrary. However, all I can say is let us try it out. If it doesn't have any positive effects over the next 2 months, we'll look at moving it back to monthly BP wiping in the new year.

Yes i do wholeheartly. I used to jump from server to server, since rustoria i havent need to look for almost a year. What makes having little moments of civilization and player interaction so special is the difficulty on a BP wipe server. Without that day 1-3 pvp being fun and equal, I know most of us will be looking for a new server. I know i will. The difference is when people came to ask for no BPS, its because they lack skill and they were struggling to deal with base game content or progression, this is the opposite. Our ask is to maintain base game progression not have a server altering the base game.

All I can say is I’m sorry you feel betrayed, that’s honestly the last thing I want to hear. Brother, If you look in the discord server you will see almost only negative feedback for the decision to make "Rustoria.co - US Medium Premium" servers never wipe BPs. I don't understand why or how this would bring new players in, if anybody wanted to play a server with no wipes that results in their base being blown up my a clan that got c4 on the second day of wipe then they would LITTERALLY just play rusty moose, sure maybe you could get some new player by taking away from Rusty Moose's server pop but that would only be a slight amount compared to all of the players that you just lost because the whole reason they played on your servers was because it wasnt like rusty mooses, im saying alot of rusty moose here because you are not going to be able to compete with rusty moose with the ppl that like no-bp wipe. You still have a week or two before the full wipe would've happened i believe and i HIGHLY suggest you go back on this decision before this server looses all of there players for sure. Ryan wants to change it up and I’m down to try, and at least he feels for our side and the grind game being fun. It’s just a shame that everyone wants handouts. Now Moose did talk yesterday in the early AM est that a force wipe hasn’t been not confirmed and with 7 days left they could very well make everything wipe once again. All up to fp and the gods they are

because if you looked at the chart i sent you would see that since the start of school, after day 1 of each wipe all rust servers fall off (day2)

in case you cant read charts, all of the big peaks are full wipes at the start of each month, all of the small peaks after the full wipes are the map wipes, notice how before school started there was no peaks because players had time no matter what, now also notice how the full wipes have bigger peaks than the map wipes and that the drop down after the full wipe is smaller than before the full wipe and slowly decreases before the next full wipe, using logic and looking at this info you could deduce that without full wipes there will never be a big player spike and there will only be small spike that progressively get smaller and smaller.

You could argue 2 things.

1. that the rust player chart isnt identical to the rustria player chart, the graph format is a little different on battle metrics but you can see it acctually is almost identical since the start of school https://imgur.com/a/4qjLWn8

2. my prediction for the peaks and valleys would be wrong because rusty moose is popular without full wipes. My responce is simply that rusty moose is a outlier because they have always had this system since the start and there whole player base is based around this system (rustorias and all other server are not like this)

When you say "while still being 100% vanilla," do you still mean official vanilla servers? Because some of your suggestions would have be a mod, and others are not possible due to Facepunch requiring some things for official servers. For example, the spawn rates and the bp wipes are mandated by Facepunch. I think that if we could follow your suggestions, we would definitely consider it and do it, but unfortunately, it's not possible to add these to official vanilla servers (while keeping them as official vanilla servers).

Can spreading out the high end monuments be looked at for next seed? SEA long is cooked for smaller groups currently. Everything’s in top left completely dominated by clans roaming full packs leaving very little options for us little groups to try pull sneaky shit off. And the adv blue prints all being top LHS of the map and just controlled by huge roaming groups makes it much much harder to the point it’s nearly impossible to get T3 going. Raided 3-4 times, different bases, different locations, can’t get ahead just AKs bolties and metal armour murdering around.

I think the heavily reduced scrap cost on top of the ADV BP frags have had a massive negative effect on the environment for smaller teams that don’t want to run 12 deep. (Inb4 go play team limit servers - no, I like it here, just having all the red card stuff within throwing distance makes getting T3 not a challenge anymore, it makes it near impossible.

Appreciate it. I get its a hard balance, i cant imagine the challenges you face. so no shade being thrown. The bottom center is fairly vacant, and having something, somewhere that the smaller teams might be able to access would be great. atm SEA long has been virtually impossible to get T3 (for me anyway, and lets be read its probably a #skillissue) but ye, would be cool. Ive swapped off SEA Long to AU medium for now, i cant fight my way into anywhere to get Adv scraps, tommys and road sign into clans and zergs with ak and full metal doesnt work xD and cause they are so concretrated with the current build, sneaky beaky aint working either hahahh. Imho i don't think this will help filter players by age (because proving that someone really is the age they indicated is problematic, if not impossible). Besides, why not just ask them directly about their age?

This is the point im trying to make. Its not about people "lying" about their age, most 15yr olds wouldnt wanna run with a bunch of 30+ year olds. Its not about asking everyone directly, but in the LFG channels, its nothing but 15yr+ clans, and the very odd over 25s etc. A seperate channel for those looking for a mature group would help find that kind of group than filtering through the 1000s of 15yr spamming the LFG groups. Scrolling back up through 1000s of messages isnt exactly the most fun thing in the world XD

Dono i still cant get how exactly it will help... Like, as i imagine it - it ll just create 1 add chat for mature minority, thereby separating 1 comunity form another. Bec significant half of all players nowadays is players who 13-18 yo.

The only thing that i think might help in this situation, its by creating lfg forms with tags, like in some other dc(discord channels).

For exmpl this is how i imagine proces of creating lfg form:

Choose the theme(LFG teammate,Clan,Faremr etc...)

Select the tags(For exmpl how many ppls we looking for: solo,duo, group.What criteria pvp, farm, electr, builder.Age preferences mature, 18+, 14+, etc)

And the body of form(Here we can describe our reqrmnts in more details,like: pvp(100m 70%, etc)

There was a Chinese player, low-kill so he flew under the radar the entire wipe on Rustoria US main.

He's been reported multiple times by multiple parties as they all know he's walking/soft ESPing. Literally 5 minutes of just watching his gameplay and you'd know. E.g. pointing lasers through the wall at door campers, knowing exactly where everyone is at all times, etc.

I'm totally okay with people getting muted and some resources going into preventing absurdity in chat, but

I understand that you think this would be a nice QOL upgrade for older players who want teammates of a similar age. Unfortunately it's not going to happen, and the reason that we're not going to do it, and the reason that nowhere I know of does this, is because Rust players / discord users are relatively incapable of organising themselves in this fashion. It's partially due to language barriers and lack of verification, but most importantly: Because people will post and interact in the channel that has the most activity, if there is a LFG channel that has 99% of the posts, and one for 30+ that has 1%, people will quickly establish that finding teammates in channel B is too difficult, and won't use it, which is a self-reinforcing cycle of realisation. You'd have more luck making a reddit post in order to find teammates of a specific age/location. 🙂

If you check the LFG channel, youll see its 99% 15+, some are 18+ but this means im still playing with people half my age. I've spent a few months trying to find a decent older group and the channel is spammed with minors / half our age people. Which surely you could understand the maturity & responsibilites levels difference. The idea of that channel was for it to be quiet, and the more intelligent people / maturer people would post in there. I didnt expect just adding a channel as "LFG 30+" and just letting people decide for themselves would be such a major issue XD. Id probably stand more chance finding a needle in a hay stack than posting on reddit / other social media platforms due to the vast amount of people who play different rust servers as I am strictly rustoria only as they are the best servers and admin team :D. it isnt on there this wipe, the medium hard cave unfortunately with the 3 build spots XD. The other cave which has the railroads inside is horrendous XD as well as most the others. There are only two good caves which one is on there. The other one not many people build in due to the upkeep of all 3 build spots XD. With the new updates, its pretty difficult as a solo to not get offlined, this cave was making it survival able XD. Yeah i only just realised you can view the actual inside of the caves via the maps, although this doesnt really change anything cus if its not on there then the wipe is almost a guarnteed offline if solo within 24houirs XD
