I don't believe that's true at all honestly, having seen behind-the-scenes for awhile. It's a complicated answer but players cheating come on all sorts of accounts. It's incorrect to think they're only on brand new ones - I've caught an insane amount anywhere from brand new to 12,000 hours. Many times it's spoofed hour, stolen accounts, etc. We take every single ticket seriously and spend a lot of time and energy following up as much as humanly possible, which thankfully leads to a crazy amount of cheaters being caught. If I wasn't an admin here, having seen how things work and the people who dedicate their efforts to just provide a good place to play Rust, I'd 100% play here. The biggest trade off of being an admin here is not being able to play on the servers I like the most.

Hello, I'm not an admin, so I can't speak for the entire staff team, but I do have experience as an admin. Admins cannot ban players unless there is enough evidence to suggest that the person in question is cheating and even then, that evidence may turn out to be entirely insufficient. There are too many facts. mechanics, and perspectives to take into account. Admins can't always be completely sure (unless they're spidermaning or doing something extremely obvious) and need to be open-minded when carrying out their investigations. At the end of the day, it comes down to the admins ability to assess a situation and the conclusion of that investigation is often heavily reliant on whether or not the cheater makes a mistake. Cheaters may not always be detected and admins are constantly put under pressure in a race against time. As players, we need to understand that they have no easy job and we need to be ready to face facts.

Usually lasts over the hour. I'd always recommend trying for 25 minutes after it's timed to release. It unbans at the time stated but the system seems to take a bit more to process. A good reason to avoid that- hopefully no other problems for you in the future
