if the ban on your screen does not have a countdown or a date it will lift then it is a perm placed ban and you will need to put an appeal in for any chance of it been lifted

That is fine no one is forcing you to do it. But if you don't login with your steam then you will need to find a new server to play on.

When you login with steam it will take you to a steam page to login.
