The vip pass has a specific duration. You can buy that at any time. For example VIP | EU main has a duration of 30 days so you can purchase it prior to a wipe and will be good for 30 days starting the day of purchase. On the other hand VIP for the wipe has a duration of 5 days so purchasing it a day prior will leave you with 1 day without VIP in the wipe. I hope i helped 🙂

I feel ya - we hear this sometimes and it should be a given that the rules posted can't be some exhaustive, 100% comprehensive list where every single situation can be spelled out. Most things are covered but admittedly there will, and often are due to the nature of the game, areas where judgement calls are made. A lot of it falls under common sense honestly, especially when it comes to some harassment type situations. Thankfully most players never have an issue and are able to enjoy the game without interruption but there are edge cases where specific consequences, normally temporary, are applied, and we see after that normally no further issue for any involved party. Content creators aren't separate from the normal player base but there are times when things cross TOS for other services where we unfortunately need to take some sort of action. What you're asking about may fall into that sort of criteria and I'd always just recommend if something feels like it's dicey, probably not the best idea to do, and to basically to trust your gut a bit. No one is just banned for killing someone who happens to be streaming though. Feel free to DM me if you have a specific issue and I can see how I can help. I completely understand your statement but i completely disagree. sometimes u get situation when regular people can be "bullied" in game, but administration can and should do nothing to stop it. For example a big clan is basically "sniping" solo player who killed them. If administration would ban or kick this clan it would be considered a in game interference. however if a "streamer" has the same treatment from the community you as a server try to protect them. I find it very disrespectful and ingame interfering. The ban reason that is called "take a break" really unacceptable and sounds like admin is watching from the top and disrespecting. The reason "kicked/banned for streamsnipe" would be more truthful. I understand that if players are harassing streamer in voice or text chat they have to deal with consequences as if they disrespected a regular player. I hope you are going to consider your rules, and at least give a warning before kick/banning. Thank you so much for your time, i am looking forward to see a reply from you.

As far as your hypothetical situation goes, we don't protect any streamer like that. There are countless examples of known streamers on our servers getting smashed, doorcamped, raided, etc by all sorts of clans, players, whatever. That's their deal and we wouldn't interfere, just the same as any other player. "Take a break" is a catch-all for different, normally outlier, situations, not only what you're saying specifically. Can be tough from the player perspective to evaluate each ban notice in chat obviously. I totally get where you're coming from though - apologies if certain things aren't always clear in advance. Having seen behind-the-scenes for a good while now I can assure you that all staff members only really care about providing the best possible place to enjoy Rust for the most amount of people. It's the only reason I'm here since I see how hard everyone works every day. But with so many people and situations it's hard to make 100% of people happy, hopefully you'll understand that. Definitely taking into consideration what you're saying and it's something that's always being improved upon, so thank you for taking the time to articulate your thoughts on it, for real. Appreciate your input and hopefully you don't have any issues moving forward, although I'd assume you won't and hopefully you just have a good time.

Unlike other communities that have a single or 3-4 servers and requests can be processed easily over discord, here we have to stick to a specific process.
