Hey there. This can sometimes happen and we always try to avoid that. If a server for example is running into a crash you might get dced for having a "time out". If that happens and the server roles back then you can sometime lay in your base without any stuff. This happens really rarely but it can happen.

When a server crashes, it should revert to the latest save which would most likely only be a few minutes.
This means that anything that was done between that save and the crash will not be saved and the items gained in that time will be lost.
We are unable to help you retrieve the lost items, unfortunately. I understand the frustration though.
