Admins have very good tools to help them verify whether or not someone is cheating, and a lot of experience which makes them very efficient at spotting cheaters when they are reported.
That being said, no system is perfect so it's still possible sometimes that some cheaters manage to escape the system. If you suspect this player is cheating again, make sure to report them once more. Make sure not to make them aware of it though (don't call them out in any chat), to help the admins catch them off guard while in the act.

They're a Zerg, and they've been growing, and after countless times killing us, checking their profiles, they have players with VAC and game bans.

The worst part is that they come here to laugh at you and don't let you progress at all all day. They're so overpowered that they don't even bother upgrading their base.

I know you're fed up, but I'm tired of seeing the same thing over and over: one, two, or three cheaters from the Zerg come in, destroy everything, and then let their friends control the area and laugh at the other players.

Furthermore, I suspect that some of the zerg members are not on the team so that if they get banned, they will spam the house (something I've already seen 3 times in the last few months).

It's both to deter cheaters as it'll impact their friends/team if they get banned, and for the friends to know what the risk of playing with said cheater is. It increases yeah, typically doubles in length the second time but can be longer depending on the specific circumstances. Eventually if someone keeps playing with cheaters they'll be permanently banned, but the point at which that happens depends on a few different factors

I definitely understand it sucks, I cannot speak for your specific circumstance or the truth of the situation, but it does generally suck when groups are banned due to choosing to trust someone new and trying to bring a new addition onto their team. We try to be as fair as possible in this situation but we have to have a strict stance against cheaters, along with anyone who may have associated with them, even if not willingly or knowing they were doing so.

If a group or a player reports a cheater, having lost a large amount of loot and we happily inform them the cheater was banned, but the team they were with get to keep playing and keep all the loot that was unfairly gained by cheating, those players are going to be equally frustrated which is why these associations bans are put in place, even when they can from your own perspective seem unfair. Hopefully this short break is a one off and a lesson learnt from now on that you should really only be playing with those you can really trust just to avoid this happening all together in the future. Appreciate you coming here to share some of your concerns though and enjoy the rest of your day at least!

A member of the team I was playing with was apparently cheating without my knowledge, and now I am being punished for something I did not do.
