In some cases, team members can be considered unaware if it's their first time teaming up with the cheater. Other times, they get banned but an appeal can remove their ban if they explain their situation and it's considered legitimate.

Hello, depending on where you are when the server restarts, you might. Staying in a spot where scientists don't usually roam on large oil rig can reduce the chances of it happening.

I'm not so sure, but if I had to guess, low hour on an account is probably a factor which is taken into account. Cheaters commonly create new accounts to use their cheats on. First because they get banned regularly, second because they usually don't want to risk getting banned on their main account.

He’s new to RUST—he couldn’t even build four connected foundations—but he comes from a background in many shooters, including CS:GO, where he played at a fairly high competitive level.

Now, last night, during his first raid, he got banned because his account is considered high-risk.

From what I understand, this is due to his K/D ratio. Yesterday afternoon, from the roof of the house I personally built, he racked up 10 kills on some guys who then even attacked us, but since our house was set to full PvP, it led us to victory.

Now, due to the low number of hours played and the high number of kills, his account is considered high-risk, and I find myself in a situation where he can’t join us...
