I usually never team up with randoms but this wipe if I talked to someone and they seemed decent I would add them to the team. This was fine until the last guy got added. Two minutes after adding him everyone on the team was banned for playing with a cheater.

My thing is how am I supposed to know who is a cheater and who isn’t when admins or anti-cheat has a hard time detecting who is?

Also what is the point of trying to make friends or allies if this is a consequence? I’m sure game logs or battlemetrics will show I’ve never played with that person before, I’m not friends with them on steam or even know them. They weren’t authorized on any of our bases or anything. Just added them to the team ui so we could see them on the map.

Like can you guys really not see that I don’t know this person or that we literally just added him?

I’m not even mad because honestly it is refreshing to see admins/servers that actually take action against cheaters but I am upset that I can’t play on rustoria as I really enjoyed your servers.

I really do appreciate everyone’s replies and I’m really not trying to come off as a dick but you’re right I am frustrated.

For one I hate the cheating issue and it’s ruining this game which I love. I know servers and admins like you guys are trying your best to fix and combat the issue and I know it’s a cat and mouse game.

Then I hate this fact that I can’t run into someone who might seem “decent” and decide to team because I really feel like I have no options and it’s not worth the risk anymore. Like I said this sucks because it takes a fun aspect out of the game which I feel makes it unique.

I mean the guy I met today was naked, said he just joined the server, and he didn’t have anything. Talked to him for 2 mins, asked if he wanted to join our team which he said yeah. I add him to the team and then we all get banned 2 mins later.
