The sound issue does tend to happen, and I think the only way to fix it is to restart your game. It's something with the game, so unfortunately we can't help :(
If you optimize your settings or your PC, you might be able to improve the issue with your game crashing or getting stuck while loading in.

Yeah I was playing fine just yesterday, i've been having this issue today only ever since the update. I was even playing 20 minutes before the update dropped LOL. My PC is pretty solid and can handle Rust fine, I've got it loaded on an M.2 alongside a 5070 and a 9800x3d.

The one time I was able to get in i had reinstall the game fully as well as deleted the maps folder

It's not just happening on Rustoria though so idk, I'll figure it out
