Getting association banned is quite common. It's very sad when people genuinely don't know they are playing with a cheater but we set the same standards as everyone. Some things you can do to protect yourself is

-watch for hyper "skilled" team mates if they seem to win every single fight something could be up

-low hours or "fresh steam" are sometimes signs as well

-asking your community and admins: if you reach out to us with a steam list give us some time and we can let you know if any of your team mates have a bad history we all need to work togeather to keep our community cheater free
