allying with a cheater is the same as associating with a cheater, and associating with a cheater is against the rules, whether or not you knew they were cheating. the ban probably will not be removed until the 7 days are over, but if you would still like to appeal, you can still appeal without linking your account. simply signing in on the webite does not link your steam account. there is no way to appeal without signing in because if you don't sign in, then neither the system nor the admin will know which player you are.
