KD has absolutely nothing to do with if someone is banned or not. VIP status also has nothing to do with it. Thorough investigations are performed before someone is banned and those decisions are made only when there is concrete proof. If you think your ban was a mistake, then you need to appeal.

Assuming it is attached to a VPN, when connecting via VPN it's a number of shared IP address's that could've been used by another player who was hacking. Connecting via a VPN can be a bit of a lottery weather the IP you connect with has been used by a hacker or not.
