It doesn’t crawl anything. And I don’t even know how you expect this to be fair because running it on the same machine does not mean that results are comparable. Routing is going to cut your legs down. Results with the same runs might have milliseconds or even seconds in difference. It also relies on the operating systems dns cache. If a previous test cached the responses another one might be faster at resolving than the other test. It’s also not crawling anything as previously mentioned. Kind of useless.

Yep. The actual challenge is just to send http request to the website and print the response's body.
