I checked create desktop shortcut, and now I need to check what associations I should create. .java, .gradle... Maybe I just skip that?

Hello. Yeah, it shouldn't really matter. This just plays a role when you would like to double-click on a file to open it with IntelliJ IDEA. That's all there is to it. If you keep .java unselected, you would have to take extra steps to open a file with IntelliJ IDEA from your Windows explorer. 👍

its your choice really tho I would do .java and for .gradle I use notepad++ tho you don't have to follow me you can do as you like

add PATH is kinda important, i would just check everthing it dont hurt but can be hard to do afterwards if u need it later on

You don't generally need IntelliJ in the path (but yes, adding it lately is more of a pain - though I don't add to my path if I don't need to).
