<@&987246399047479336> please have a look, thanks.
@spiral pelican
For learning Java, we recommend the ebook Modern Java:
https://javabook.mccue.dev/
It is completely free, meant for beginners and covers all content relevant for the first year. It is a great way to learn Java from the ground up.
If you run into any questions during your journey, you may ask us in #1051826284008853505 and we will help
If you prefer a more traditional learning experience, we also recommend MOOC:
https://java-programming.mooc.fi/
This is the course used by the University of Helsinki to teach their students programming in their first year, also completely free.
Master Java ā a must-have language for software development, Android apps, and more! āļø This beginner-friendly course takes you from basics to real coding skills.

my general advice is to do a small project after each new concept you learn to implement it
Thanks š
no problem
I haven't met a YT series yet that would help with "from beginner level to Master level"
That doesn't seem to cover everything that either of the courses above do.
the problem is that quality wise every single yt channel or series out there is miles behind the above ebook or mooc
up to u though
Mosh is ass
At first i liked him
Now he is very bad
Its not evena full course
itās just something i found to get a beginner started. itās not a statement of support for the creator or anything. itās not that deep
You will have to pay for the entire course
āmaster levelā also isnāt a thing. you can memorize every tiny nuance of a programming language, but that doesnāt mean anything if you canāt solve problems
I really don't want to but I think I need to make a YouTube series
Clearly reading is not in Vogue
No that's mostly pictures.
More seriously. I agree. Everyone wants video (despite it being a poor medium for learning programming).
personally i prefer a combination of text and video.
it also depends on the topic
one of the things that makes books intimidating for beginners is the sheer density of information. lots and lots of things presented wonāt actually be relevant to what the beginner is learning and practicing
try skimming the first link
it looks fine. iām speaking more generally
Yeah you should
Exactly!
personally i like guided hackingās approach where they explain the concept in text, have a video demonstration of it being implemented, and then have further analysis in text.
for me personally, thatās a lot easier for me to digest, and less eye strain overall
@hollow trench what video do you suggest then so that I can get better
thing is, we have around 10 years experience here with people learning java and programming. in 95% of cases the people who went for videos had a terrible experience overall
its a common choice but usually not a good choice
but as said, its up to everyone to decide
Reading documentations
the ebook is there should u reconsider
and we are always here for questions as well
for clarification, iām not advocating for just videos. maybe something like 60% text 40% videos
Ok, from? If I may ask..
I am saying i would prefer documentations rather than watvhing videos
But if u want video
Then go watch brocode
Alright thanks
š¬ but then everyone's welcome to my opinion.
Ok understood
I just want a mixture of both, that really helps personally

Your question has been closed due to inactivity.
If it was not resolved yet, click the button below to keep it
open, or feel free to create a new thread.
Note that usually the reason for nobody calling back is that your
question may have been not well asked and hence no one felt confident
enough answering.
When you reopen the thread, try to use your time to improve the quality
of the question by elaborating, providing details, context, all relevant code
snippets, any errors you are getting, concrete examples and perhaps also some
screenshots. Share your attempt, explain the expected results and compare
them to the current results.
Also try to make the information easily accessible by sharing code
or assignment descriptions directly on Discord, not behind a link or
PDF-file; provide some guidance for long code snippets and ensure
the code is well formatted and has syntax highlighting. Kindly read through
https://stackoverflow.com/help/how-to-ask for more.
With enough info, someone knows the answer for sure š
i have a course on telegram which covers beginers to advance topics but that course is in hindi
there is no "master in a language"
