<@&987246652869971988> please have a look, thanks.
Ive been on call with friends for almost 2 hours trying to fix it but we all dont know what to do
look at the error
java home is wrong, set it to the folder above
Restart the terminal
And maybe take off the /bin from JAVA_HOME
I have. and I dont think I would be able to create mods if I delete /bin no?
I don't mean delete the folder from your computer
I mean remove it from the end of the JAVA_HOME variable
ohhh okay okay
let me try
im not the best around PC's ive only had mine for a week haha
Ohhh its fixed!
it says Build Successful!
Thank you!
Okay. Just a heads up that you will probably need to take a detour to actually learn Java at some point
Be ready for it
For when that comes: https://javabook.mccue.dev
Book teaching how to write modern and effective Java.

to be honest.
Im not downloading intellij
its 5gb
thats like TOO much
so i basically wasted everyone that helped me their time
5gb? thats nothing...
nowadays that's far from a lot lol
IntelliJ has a lot of useful tools and capabilities, it makes sense.
I think your real problem is the amount of storage you have.
what ???
Intellij download isn't 5GB, it's 1GB
And yeah, if you want to write some decent Java, you're definitely going to need it
The language doens't really lend itself to notepad++ coding
also dont look at <User>/.gradle
and <User>/.m2...
All I know is that Windows cannot find your Java version installed. If you using the jdk then you need to point Windows to the location
Except this folder is half the size after opening a dozen projects than the .gradle when opening a single one lol
