Yes, learning Java can definitely improve your understanding of other programming languages. Java is a high-level language with a strong emphasis on object-oriented programming, which is a fundamental concept in many other languages. By mastering Java, you will gain valuable skills and knowledge that can be applied to learning other languages more easily.

I think so, since all languages have common concepts, like OOP.
Moreover, it is not the knowledge of the language itself that is important, but a certain “algorithmic” thinking
Java isn’t a low level programming language, it’s got a lot of features in other languages though like OOP and a good standard library (as maksemes explained) as well as having access modifiers [IE which code has access to other code] and working on most operating systems
And honestly, I’d advise against learning C++ as your first language in general, it’s notoriously difficult
yes
in general don't be picky about what you learn
I found that c, c++, c#, java in that order was very easy.
So yes, multiple language help a lot.
or 25
But if you want to discuss that, start your own question thread, rather than using this one
Yea 25 might be the way to go to refresh
& with the new updates which now it's less verbosity with the new classs IO & all the verbosity in the driver code
This is devilzx24's question thread. Move the discussion of which version of Java to your own thread and stop discussing it here (unless the thread owner engages themselves)
Okay thanks buddy
i agree too thx
Java 8, thats a standard for EE
No it isn't.
Its here in India
Java is the generic language here
It has the generic features you might find in almost every (mainstream) language like OOP, algorithms, a good standard library, semicolons and curly braces
Which excludes C (no OOP) and python (no curly braces and optional semi colons) but most of them have the same idea
C++ is kinda similar to java but it's best you start out with C or Java in my opinion
I would recommend C first because it is just a more high level representation of what the computer understands (because of the lack of abstractions and no OOP it maps somewhat closely to how the computer thinks) but learning Java first is still a decent good path
There are structs in C but they don't operate the same way as classes like in C++ or Java
💀
that true !
you are confusing language level and version.
Its java 8 java 1.8
yikes not Java 8
discord doesn't like you
