I wanna make a minecraft client but im too stupid can someone code a client for me??????????? (you will get shoutout cuz imma make a vid on it)

Sorry, but asking someone to code a Minecraft client for you is not allowed. Creating a Minecraft client requires a lot of time, effort, and skill. It is important to respect the hard work and dedication that goes into coding projects.

If you are interested in learning how to code a Minecraft client yourself, there are plenty of resources available online to help you get started. You can find tutorials, guides, and forums where you can ask for help and advice from experienced developers.

It's important to remember that creating a Minecraft client involves working with the game's code, which is owned by Mojang. It is crucial to follow their guidelines and terms of service when creating any sort of modifications or clients for their game.

If you are still interested in making a Minecraft client but feel overwhelmed or unsure where to start, consider reaching out to the community for guidance and support. Many developers are willing to help beginners learn and grow their skills in coding.

Remember to always respect the work of others and put in the effort to learn and create your own projects. Good luck on your coding journey!

I am not sure if it is allowed in the server, but no coder will do it for a youtube vid shoutout

kindred stratus
#

@alpine crest sorry but this server is not a code writing service. we can help u write it urself but thats about it

kindred stratus
#

best is probably if u first start learning java

alpine crest
#

._.

kindred stratus
#

that said, as far as i know, mc clients are against ToS. i.e. "illegal"

#

so we cant help u with that anyways

alpine crest
#

theyre not illegal bro

kindred stratus
#

they are

alpine crest
#

theyre not

kindred stratus
#

only the real mc client is allowed to be used to play minecraft

kindred stratus
#

u can make ur own launcher

alpine crest
#

cracked minecraft client is illegal

kindred stratus
#

but not alter the client

alpine crest
#

then over 3 million players has broke the law

kindred stratus
#

thats correct

#

this isnt our first rodeo with people who think they know better @alpine crest. we do this for many years already

alpine crest
#

as custom minecraft clients are used more then the normal one

kindred stratus
#

that doesnt make them legal

kindred stratus
#

please stop arguing

alpine crest
#

dude

#

its legal

rare fulcrum
#

No.

kindred stratus
#

id suggest u first start learning java and then follow up with a mc specific tutorial. possibly in a mc specific server with people who want to help u on it

#

either case, we cant

#

wish u the best with the project ๐Ÿ‘

@alpine crest sorry for how rough this went. perhaps i should have started differently: legal or not (might be a bit of a grey area depending on what exactly ur planning to do, i guess), the server owner decided years ago that we should stay away from the topic to not risk the server. so we gotta respect that, even if it means that we cant help u with ur quest unfortunately.

im sure there are other places who can support u better and ull find the help u need ๐Ÿ‘Œ

generally my advice is to first gather a proper foundation in programming and java, as that makes everything so much easier. the minecraft coding road is very rough if u go head first without programming background. its a complex game, a complex code architecture and ur bombarded with a lot of topics, terms and processes that are intended for people with like 2+ years of programming experience and not beginners

#

for learning java, if u bring the time it needs, we recommend MOOC:

For learning Java, we recommend MOOC.

It is a completely free introductory Java course created by the University of Helsinki, it is a great way to learn Java from the ground up.

Visit MOOC here:
https://java-programming.mooc.fi
(the course is available in both English and Finnish)

  • The MOOC teaches a broad introduction to programming in Java in two parts - one at beginner, and another at intermediate level.
The end of the course is marked by creating your own Asteroids game clone!
  • The MOOC allows using features up to Java 11 - you can install Temurin OpenJDK 11 from the Adoptium project.
  • To submit exercises for evaluation, you need to configure an Editor/IDE (Integrated Development Environment) with the TMC Plugin.

The course instructions will suggest to use TMCBeans/NetBeans or VS Code for the course, but you can also use IntelliJ, which we generally recommend.

  • TMCBeans/NetBeans is the easiest to configure - but has the most dated user experience
  • VS Code is very popular as an editor, but it is quite new for Java Development. Some extra configuration is needed.
  • IntelliJ arguably has the best user experience and is most widely used Java IDE by professionals.
IntelliJ requires installing a version no newer than 2023.1 - because the IntelliJ TMC Plugin doesn't work with newer installs.
The IntelliJ Community version is completely free and all you need to install the TMC plugin.

To use IntelliJ with the MOOC, simply install the TMC plugin by opening IntelliJ -> File -> Settings -> Plugins and searching for TMC. You will then be able to use IntelliJ to complete MOOC.

# kindred stratus <@928631628102795336> sorry for how rough this went. perhaps i should have start...

Hey, i kinda overreacted a bit.

From my experience (5 years in minecraft community) this is how i think it is

Premium clients (clients that you need a premium/bought minecraft account to use): are completely legal

Hacked clients: Legal but mojang/microsoft has the right to remove your account (doesnt happen a lot)

Cracked clients (Pirated clients): Are illegal. But it doesnt happen a lot that individual people get a punishment, mostly the devs if they dont comply after a warning.

What i wanna make: A premium client

(i tried really hard to sound proffesional cat_thumbs_up hope it was proffesional enough)

kindred stratus
#

that said, i dont really think we have a lot of mc experts on this server anyways

#

so even if, ur probably better off asking elsewhere for mc specific support

#

for learning java though, we can help ๐Ÿ‘Œ
