Use this if u feel sketchy about the exe
https://github.com/ompanem/Notepad
I doubt anyone is going to install your .exe and run it lol
It would be easier to list your features than asking people to install a random file.
You could also always look at what Visual Studio Code/Sublime/TextMate/et cetera.
ok yeah true
but i also sent the github
How about a markdown editor like we have in Intellij. With one screen for editing, another screen for displaying how the markdown looks. Markdown has a lot of 'flavors' now (e.g. github markdown) which don't play well with others so it would be nice to specify the flavor and have some kind of flavor guidance about which markups are allowed/won't work.
yea im planning on adding a Buttons class with button initialization etc
sounds static
you rely on static too much
how do i know when to use static and when not to use static? From what ive been doing i think static is fine but yeah idk
it aint OOP
its procedural
Java revolves heavily around OOP, using objects
and you are throwing that under the rug
yea but i dont have any features yet that would make sense to use oop rn
i see a lot
we work with objects irl all the time. the idea is to make use of objects in the same way within our code

Your question has been closed due to inactivity.
If it was not resolved yet, feel free to just post a message below
to reopen it, or create a new thread.
Note that usually the reason for nobody calling back is that your
question may have been not well asked and hence no one felt confident
enough answering.
When you reopen the thread, try to use your time to improve the quality
of the question by elaborating, providing details, context, all relevant code
snippets, any errors you are getting, concrete examples and perhaps also some
screenshots. Share your attempt, explain the expected results and compare
them to the current results.
Also try to make the information easily accessible by sharing code
or assignment descriptions directly on Discord, not behind a link or
PDF-file; provide some guidance for long code snippets and ensure
the code is well formatted and has syntax highlighting. Kindly read through
https://stackoverflow.com/help/how-to-ask for more.
With enough info, someone knows the answer for sure 👍
kinda late reply but im thinking of adding ActionListeners in a seperate class, do you mean smth like that? when saying use oop
like having too many things in one class
thats like the only thing i currently see which could be seperated
and maybe a buttons class for anything I need to click on the gui screen
