#Affordable Laptop Computer Suitable For Programming

Here is an AI assisted attempt to answer your question ๐ค. Maybe it helps! In any case, a human is on the way ๐. To continue talking to the AI, you can use </chatgpt:1108714622413963314>.
The most affordable laptop for programming would be one with at least 8GB of RAM, an Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 processor, and a solid state drive (SSD) for faster performance. Some budget-friendly options to consider include the Acer Aspire 5, Lenovo IdeaPad 3, or HP Pavilion x360. These laptops offer good performance for programming tasks without breaking the bank. Additionally, consider looking for deals on refurbished or older models to save even more money. Just make sure the laptop meets the necessary requirements for programming languages and software you plan to use. Ultimately, the best affordable laptop for programming will depend on your specific needs and budget constraints.
That depends on your region, the language, what you're programming, your budget (it's all relative), etc.. Could you provide some details?
8gb ram is a bit limiting unless you use linux, but other than that it seems alright
but if i were you i would get a pc
Nowadays I would go for at least 16 GB of ram.
And an i3 isn't really that strong, so if you're going to do virtualization for example.
since the OS itself already consumes like 8 GB at times, lol
u shouldnt go below 8 though
otherwise u will feel ur computer slowing down
especially whenever u try to open two programs at the same time (browser, discord, ...)
8 should be fine if ur only doing some simple office work on it.
16 if u occasionally want to game, perhaps render a video/stream or want to have 4 programs open at the same time
anything beyond 16 only if u have special needs (AAA games, content creator, coding with bigger data such as maps, 3d work, photoshop, ...)
i found 16gb kind of limiting for multitasking(in windows)
16
btw why dont you get a desktop pc? do you need the portability of a laptop?
yeah. my mom has 8 GB and it works well for her. but she is only editing some ms word docs occasionally or watching a youtube video
oh
even 712mb of ram is enough for editing docs and watching youtube(if you use a lightweight linux distro)
her issue was rather a really old crappy HDD that caused the entire laptop to need like 5 minutes for booting up
which was easy to swap out against a cheap ssd
yeah hdds are painfully slow
codin on a 6GB laptop here. Linux mint xfce as my distro
Windows would... f#ck this machine up

Note that usually the reason for nobody calling back is that your
question may have been not well asked and hence no one felt confident
enough answering.
When you reopen the thread, try to use your time to improve the quality
of the question by elaborating, providing details, context, all relevant code
snippets, any errors you are getting, concrete examples and perhaps also some
screenshots. Share your attempt, explain the expected results and compare
them to the current results.
Also try to make the information easily accessible by sharing code
or assignment descriptions directly on Discord, not behind a link or
PDF-file; provide some guidance for long code snippets and ensure
the code is well formatted and has syntax highlighting. Kindly read through

With enough info, someone knows the answer for sure ๐
