Hi guys! I would like to practice optimizing SQL queries, and I need a database on which to practice. Maybe someone has scripts to create and populate a database with a big amount of data or dump of a postgresql database.

Or

why not just create a db yourself?

if you want random data

you can easily generate it yourself in minutes

I generally just set up datafaker to create fake entities in bulk.

Why not just do it

you are asking to create a tool to create tables

Dang, I wish I had my tool more ready so you could use it but this is literally what I built it for. You define the database schema in yaml format and then you can generate fake data (uses datafaker under the hood). Literally built for this purpose. +1 for datafaker though. If you want lots of fake data to insert into a database, datafaker can definitely help

Note that usually the reason for nobody calling back is that your
question may have been not well asked and hence no one felt confident
enough answering.

When you reopen the thread, try to use your time to improve the quality
of the question by elaborating, providing details, context, all relevant code
snippets, any errors you are getting, concrete examples and perhaps also some
screenshots. Share your attempt, explain the expected results and compare
them to the current results.

Also try to make the information easily accessible by sharing code
or assignment descriptions directly on Discord, not behind a link or
PDF-file; provide some guidance for long code snippets and ensure
the code is well formatted and has syntax highlighting. Kindly read through
