Can you explain more? Do you mean when you do /box you get a new one every time? Maybe your database isn’t storing properly. What is your set up? Are there any errors in the console? I expect there would be.

No so I can’t do /box again which is great yk but when I leave the game and join back my box goes back to a 2x2, I change it with the boxadmin command but it just goes back when I leave

Boxed has 3 ways how to change area size, and they do not work all together.
You need to choose one of them, as others are disabled once you use it.
- advancements (default) increases area size by unlocking advancements
- command - the one you used
- permissions - boxed.island.range.<number>
You can turn off advancement mode in boxed config by setting ignore-advancments to true.
Then you can use commands and permissions to change boxed size
