Items despawning at base

Im noticing objects despawning in my base. Is there a maximum number of objects that can exist outside of containers in an area? Im losing tools and weapons to this problem

Is the base dense with fortifications or containers? Perhaps a lag issue?

im not sure. i have one small container and shelf, and a workbench and pegboard. about 5 bear traps, and spiked walls outside. alone with the barricading of windows and a door

at times when im walking on loot runs i rubber band but i dont know of any other instance of lag

it does seem like items refresh when i rejoin the server i made for myself. Is there perhaps a offline option for playing?

Yes, you can try making your own server and seeing if the problem persists.
