#Team chat as spy

As a spy, I can see the chat of my enemy team, but for whatever reason, I also can't see the chat of my team, and I can only talk to my enemy if I try to do team chat. I sometimes accidentally tell something meant for my team to the enemy team because of this, and with that, I can't even give my team info without announcing it to the enemy too. This convoluted feature is unintuitive for teamwork, and the only way I can think of to mitigate this issue is using voice chat (as if players usually use voice chat...)

Or pick someone trustworthy on your team and type /(name) to pm them

That's how we do it in APB. You PM someone back on your team to forward the information to

#

I think this concern was raised also for APB, but unsure if separating chat was possible at that time

No one uses chat anyway because it is on top

The spy can view enemy team chat from anywhere in the map when disguised, right? Would seem kind of overpowered to just have someone steal a disguise then park their ass in safe territory for the whole match to preempt any rushes (assuming that pub players were actually trying to communicate/we didn't have post-Babel-level language barriers in the western servers)

Maybe they should be able to only view enemy comms when hacking the radar dome or when in the bounds of the enemy base, just to add an element of skill
