Hi~
I received a report from a Chinese player, saying he can't run AR with his win11.
He said that after double-clicking the game.exe, there would be a black screen like this (the first picture).
Then it disappeared (or closed itself) and back to windows...
So he never saw the scene showed in the second picture.
Also, he can run both TSR and APB with his win11.
And it seems there's no crash log or dump file...

Do they have Microsoft Visual C Runtime installed? https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
he does have installed .net framework 4.8 or higher
but I don't know if he had installed Visual C Runtime
I'll share the link with him right now
I'll post further information once I hear from him
thx
he tried and restarted his computer but it still doesn't work
black screen and then vanished
and that's his user folder
Are they able to play other DirectX 11 games?
does APB or TSR DirectX 11 games?
if so then yes
TSR does 🤔
then yes
he can run TSR
btw
I've just got another report (but not the same issue)
this player launched AR without launcher
he can play the "practice" mode
but failed to start a hosted "network" game
and here are the crash logs
any further help?
Sorry, got busy working on the downloads system.
Which map are they trying to play, do they have "dedicated server" unchecked in the host -> advanced submenu?
I‘ll post his reply once I hear from him
then how about the win11 one?
Are they able to join APB or TSR without issue and then immediately have issues with AR?
Do they also have an IP Address selected in the Host menu?
yes
but he can't even run AR
the program just auto-closed before anything showed up
is this question related to the second issue?
the first one and the second one are two different players
This is crashing when trying to host a lan game/single player
What is their hardware? They have no crash dumps?
nope...
that's how the user document folder looks like
would it be the reason that player hasn't installed the launcher on their device?
unchecked "dedicated sever" and crash
checked "dedicated sever" also crashed
the hardware
Can they open Nvidia control panel and make sure that the game is run on the dedicated gpu?
ok
that was solved
thx
now there's only the second issue left
the player can run practice mode but failed to create or join the LAN game...
he does have an IP address showed in lobby option
Are they the one with these crashdumps?
