i get that, but look at it this way, from what im hearing you're not rushing to get to the tippy top unlike a lot of ipatient people that ive met, where they start drawing for like 2 weeks and just quit, bc "they arent good enugh". Art just takes a long time to learn since you need to know perspective, anatomy, color theory, composition, etc. but all they lack is patience, which i can see you have, disappointments will come and go but in the end you will improve

i would recommend adding sharper shadows because not all of them are blended like where it’s obviously covered and stuff and then slightly blend out the edge. Using a darker shade or multiply for shading would also help it look a little more natural instead of black! /nf /gen

The reason you don't like how it looks stems the fact that you're using a mixture of boxes and round shapes

For a single limb

When it comes to organic bits generally speaking you choose a certain shape language and go with it for the whole thing

If you want an edgy style all of the limbs get sharp edges everywhere

If you want something soft looking you stick with that

The first thing that comes to mind when I see this is orange flame, purple cloak. Orange and purple go well together because they're opposites on the color wheel
But, if you have your heart set on red and blue you could make that work really well too
