I disagree with that stand point- art can be anything! From music, writing, acting, drawing, AI-art, construction, or really- anything that is made well enough for the purpose of entertainment or even for one’s own improvement- (art can be subjective is what I’m sayin) while AI artworks are cheating to the average person, if it looks good- I think that should be art. I dunno I’m wacky in my brain tho.

Imo, art is anything YOU make from the ground up, be it music, dancing, or drawing, as long as as you come up with it and have it follow your vision, it’s art. But with AI art, you are not creating art, the AI is. Literally the entire system of AI art is the algorithm stealing other people’s artwork and meshing it together. You may be generating pretty pictures, but you aren’t making art.

Quick artist statement: So I first thought that I can possibly transpose the bass to a lute line, but after creating the piece I thought it was suitable to stay for Grand Piano. What made it particularly challenging for this piece was following strict counterpoint and a classical style by paper first then writing it on the computer. I had to make some changes from the original to correct any mistakes I had but I think it turned out decently from the ideas I wrote by paper first. I'm more of a person that likes to listen to the notes while I write so this was good practice for me to write by hand first, then listen to what I create and tweak. Thats about it and sorry for the long message lmao. (have a great day everyone too : ) )
