Since the prevalence of the caleb alts, I suggest that (especially newly created) users (preferably automatically done by a bot) should be muted/timed out for a certain period of time after joining(to prevent alt spam etc). It also prevents alts from spamming too quickly upon joining and leaves room for account verification.
