#Every Discog in a Nutshell

whys that so accurate though
i dont find this accurate at all
strokes
literally the strokes
add this and it’s literally the strokes
fifth: their worst album of all time
sixth: legendary comeback that everyone loves
this really fails thinking of some bands, idk, just tell me with what band does it work
yeah the strokes were the first band i thought of
i’d say the killers if it weren’t for battle born
no one likes battle born
i may know not enough bands
weezer could work too
radiohead but remove the classic part
muse fails number 2, imo tøp fails number 4, tdcc kinda works for number 2, i don’t listen to many more bands with more than 3 albums
would arctic monkeys count?
suck it and see seems like it could have a cult following, except humbug probably fits that more
fall out boy kinda works too i think
kind of works with avenged sevenfold
seventh trumpet is a metalcore classic, waking the fallen added more clean vocals and solos since syn joined the band, city of evil is significantly better and more polished than the first 2, and the s/t fourth album is not really the fan favorite or a cult classic
def not for the pilots
not sure what bands other than the strokes and the killers i could see you making this argument for
weezer maybe?
i think the pilots fail especially the first one imo, s/t aint a classic
i agree with fob although for weezer i think maladroit falls behind as cult classic lol
my contributions would be led zeppelin and the white stripes
white stripes for sure
W A I T …
I said this
easily the best example of 1 and 2 but it doesn’t fit 3 at all
I guess some people say it’s significantly worse than the other 2 (it’s not) but it’s not the most essential
applies to me for sure
it doesnt say most essential
it just says essential
its def the worst of the trilogy
I guess so
tcd and lr are 10s, grad is like 8 or something but not a 10
i like battle born
Graduation is the worst of the three but the most essential one imo
I think this could appeal to death grips
To some extent
Exmilitary is considered a classic in the community, tms has more instruments/the beats are a little bit more tuney (i suppose), nldw is worse than both although not that much, and idk how essential it is
Gp isnt a fan classic tho
I wouldnt say so
I guess nldw is essential though cause the whole drama around it made them get dropped from the label lmao
nah, muse and radiohead ruin this. For Muse, 2nd album (origin of symmetry) is their best and for radiohead kid a is definitely not their best. Kid a is is my least fav of the first 4 tbh.
i was so disappointed listening to kid a. It couldve been such a good album after ok computer and they ruined it.
For Number Girl i'd say it's true. 1st album has one of their best and most iconic songs so by virtue of that it's classic. 2nd is essentially the first album but just way better. 3rd album widely considered their best (at least from what i gather) and it marks a shift in the bands sound. and the 4th album is kind of a cult classic idk i guess it fits in there LOL
this applies to a lot of bands but like it doesn't apply to most bands
i've been looking thru some discogs to see where it applies but like
this would count if flower boy was his 4th album LOL
this is true
Bruh
?
Pretty much yeah
Kid a is v good
Possibly liked it more than ok computer in first listen
On*
nahhhh. its alr but not even close to the rest of heir stuff
But pablo honey and bends defo aint better than kid a
i was so dissapointed after ok computer
Its ur opinion tho :]
they are
yeah :)
people like diff stuff
Yea
Also true
pretty sure every MCR fan would disagree since Danger Days was 4th
what we thinkin ⁉️
😭
Wow
if we start at RAB (first album as a duo) it kinda works for twenty one pilots
doesn’t work for the Beatles though, their five first albums are not good at all
🤝
its not as popular though and that blows my mind
it’s more sophisticated, and the whole concept is really difficult to understand for a non-clique person
the thing could work for Radiohead too
and David Bowie
yeah thats true, i can see why bf was so popular but i dont listen to modern chart music because it annoys me lol
no, kid a isnt their best imo
unpopular opinion: Blurryface is the best thing that happened to the 2010’s music charts
it’s the best of the first four albums (at least in my opinion)
lmao, i agree, the rest of the chart stuff is rubbish tbh
I admit In Rainbows is better though
this year no because the last Maneskin album is great
REALLY? i was so disappoined listening to it after ok computer.
i havnt given it a listen yet
I was too at first, but after a few more listens you begin to get into the concept, and it really becomes one of the best in your mind (at least that’s what happened to me)
you should, it’s like an Italian Red Hot Chili Peppers
yeah i will re listen. im 14 so i only really started to get into music the last 6 months or so (aside top who ive been a fan over for years). It doesnt work for muse either
oo ok yeah i defo will
I’m sixteen and I was basically the same two years ago, I understand the pain of not being able to grow musically as fast as you’d wish 😁
yeah lol, this summer has been amazing tho ive found so much music that i love.
ive got a whole list of hundreds of albums that im gunna listen too aswell
yeah that’s the cool thing about music, there’s always new stuff to discover😊
I binge-listened the whole Beatles discography yesterday in the car and man that feels great
oh wow, thats a lot. im listening to nirvanas discography atm.
oh that’s great too
yeah it is lol
not that much, I mean it took me like 7 hours but I was travelling so 💁♂️
and I’m happy I did it cause now I know what albums I like and that’s cool
7hrs is quite a lot in one sitting lmao
yeah thats why im listing to EVERY album an artist puts out. you never know what ur gunna like
depends if you like it I suppose
yeah, i can listen to music all day but 7 hrs on one artist is a lot
I didn’t really like the first albums so it was a little long but from Rubber Soul it just felt great
yeah, thats why i dont give up on an artist just because they have a bad album
I admit I do that sometimes ahah
for Nirvana you should listen to the MTV Unplugged as well as the albums it’s great too
(Friendly advice)
lol, i didnt really want to carry on with radiohead but i convinced myself to listen to amnesiac and im glad i did because its a good album
my dad said that aswell lol, thanks :)
I was disappointed by Amnesiac definitely not the best to my mind
i think i just had really low expectations after kid a. i will relisten to kid a tho
mines were really high, maybe that’s why ahah. I will relisten to Amnesiac one day I think
yeah do, i thought it was better than kid a
it’s not the same vibe as the albums, he’s not screaming and stuff so that gives a whole new perception of the song
yeah, i will definitely give it a listen once ive finished in utero aswell
just an off-topic question: are you French? because your bio is in French
haha no, its a song with a french title
In Utero is great too, definitely a perfect discography
ahh okay 👍 is the song from you?
you should listen to nothing but thieves, they are a very good bad
I never did, but that’s on my to-do list 😉 I can’t listen to everything right now because I still need to keep my friends haha
haha, give them a listen when you can, they are very good. im going to see them live on saturday!
ah that’s cool ! unfortunately I can’t do anything on Saturday because I’m painting the town
hahaha
WATERPARKS BE LIKE-
waterparks do not have a classic
I've never been able to decide if I like Blurryface less or more than the first two
i think it cap bc the fan fav is trench and thats number 5 so
well if you think about official releases
first = self titled, second = vessel, third = blurryface, 4 = trench
but rab is an album it just wasn't released
officially^
for that it works perfectly yeah
it was released as officially as Self Titled, it is just not available on every platforms
but if you begin when Josh arrived (at RAB) it works
Vessel is really close to RAB, with just differences in production for most songs
BF is essential to the band discography because it’s the breakthrough album
and Trench is the fan favourite obviously
Since when was an album with several top 40 hits considered a “cult classic”
/fan favorite
I mean let's be real, Trench is kinda a "cult classic" because Trench has its own backstory, in a sense
idrk what a cult classic is so I might be a bit biased
i mean more of a cult classic than blurryface? 🤷
blurryface has their most famous songs tho
