yeah that's what i think, theoretically how much can you actually change? imagine you're you and you're advising your younger you, how much would they change? and if it's just you in the past with future knowledge, would you actually be able to change if put in the same situation?

but as nobody knows how timelines really work out i could like witness a lot of important events, come back, warn everyone and alter the timeline in a way nothing i witnessed ends up coming true because my influence just branched the timeline
if i went into the future and stayed there without coming back i'd have to be prepared for the outcomes

for me I came from an ||abusive|| home and am a ||child abuse|| survivor so for me I'd want to go back and help my younger self
take them to the shows they wanted to go to
get her clothes and food and make her feel secure
and ultimately just fix what my own parent couldn't fucking do

I dont think I could handle seeing where I made it to
because I hate thinking about the future and what ifs

time travel is too complicated. it’s stressful. if i were to time travel and screw anything or everything up, i’d never forgive myself, and i’d know that trying to fix it would make everything worse. there are many things id like to change, and many things id like to see, but i dont want to lose valued lessons or take things for granted. even with the many regrets and the many dreams i have, i wouldnt be able to handle the power that comes with time travel. its too stressful and too scary
