and as per the vecna/mind flayer thing, the running interpretation is that the mind flayer is the Big Evil Boss who corrupted henry. at this point, 20+ years of corruption onwards, henry literally doesn't know what the difference is between his own choices and the mind flayer's, because to him "they are one." it's clear that he made a choice at one point to stop resisting, but that doesn't exactly mean he's the one in charge; he just thinks he is

Oh also, what was the purpose of reintroducing Kali? Like, the only thing she had with her was basically just her blood and the pregnant woman, which in the end were absolutely unimportant, the standing beside El during will's coming out, having beef with Hopper, proceeds to almost kill Hopper, and then to just get fucked by those frequency constructions from the military and in the end to get shot.
I mean I suppose she was the reason for El giving in and letting herself get dragged away with the upside down, or well if we want to go from Mike's perspective, her getting invisibility to get out of there and live her own life but I feel like they only got Kali back to kill of El, which in the end wasn't even fully reasonable.

I get it, cause of the pregnant women, but still, I feel like it wasn't necessary to bring Kali back and then kill her of for that.
