Before I go to bed, just posting a message regarding everyone’s safety and health!!!

If you see someone in the pit who looks like they need help, OFFER IT. Crowd pick up at music festivals is so important. It’ll help you, the person you’re helping, and the people around you both.

Stay hydrated and energized. Eat carbs for breakfast if you want to have more energy. Indulge in a bulky (probably terrible, I have had really bad food experiences with fests lmao) hotdog or corndog. Drink water and bring bottles with you into the pit. See if fest policy allows empty water bottles and bring one you can clip onto yourself if need be.

On the topic of staying hydrated- if you need to go to the bathroom, GO. Don’t hold it, the last thing you wanna do is piss or shit yourself. TRUST ME, it’s not worth it. Make friends with the people around you or have the person you’re going with hold the fort until you get back

STAY WARM. I know Arizona is a lot warmer than many places in the world right now, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be cold, still. Invest in some hand warmers at a gas station before you head out and maybe tuck them in your shoes. Heat circulates better in your feet and will keep you warmer longer. If they are uncomfortable, your pockets or hands will be just fine. Layer up if you have to- don’t wear one bulky item and freeze if you need to remove the clothing item. The crowd can and most likely will warm you up due to the volume of people and their body heat, too.

If you’re close to a large mosh pit (generally center crowd / more towards the stage) and someone is asking to get by and is pointing towards the pit, please let them by. They’re not trying to be an ass and get closer, they just want in on the action in the mosh pit. If you have any medical aids that you are at risk of getting hit when close to a mosh pit, it’s good to remember the outer ring of people will push people back into the pit and act as a barrier against the moshers. Get a few people behind this barrier and you should be fine. Pay attention around you if you’re farther away though, smaller pits may be formed off to the side!

HAVE FUN! Trade bracelets, make new friends! Enjoy the set while you can. You’ll miss it all after!

Charge your phone before or in between sets. It’ll be good for emergency contact if anything happens. If you see something, SAY SOMETHING. Do not let robbery or harassment go unnoticed.

SAFETY AND GOOD HEALTH

If you see someone in the pit who looks like they need help, OFFER IT. Crowd pick up at music festivals is so important. It’ll help you, the person you’re helping, and the people around you both.

Stay hydrated and energized. Eat carbs for breakfast if you want to have more energy. Indulge in a bulky (probably terrible, I have had really bad food experiences with fests lmao) hotdog or corndog. Drink water and bring bottles with you into the pit. See if fest policy allows empty water bottles and bring one you can clip onto yourself if need be.

On the topic of staying hydrated- if you need to go to the bathroom, GO. Don’t hold it, the last thing you wanna do is piss or shit yourself. TRUST ME, it’s not worth it. Make friends with the people around you or have the person you’re going with hold the fort until you get back

STAY WARM. I know Arizona is a lot warmer than many places in the world right now, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be cold, still. Invest in some hand warmers at a gas station before you head out and maybe tuck them in your shoes. Heat circulates better in your feet and will keep you warmer longer. If they are uncomfortable, your pockets or hands will be just fine. Layer up if you have to- don’t wear one bulky item and freeze if you need to remove the clothing item. The crowd can and most likely will warm you up due to the volume of people and their body heat, too.

If you’re close to a large mosh pit (generally center crowd / more towards the stage) and someone is asking to get by and is pointing towards the pit, please let them by. They’re not trying to be an ass and get closer, they just want in on the action in the mosh pit. If you have any medical aids that you are at risk of getting hit when close to a mosh pit, it’s good to remember the outer ring of people will push people back into the pit and act as a barrier against the moshers. Get a few people behind this barrier and you should be fine. Pay attention around you if you’re farther away though, smaller pits may be formed off to the side!

HAVE FUN! Trade bracelets, make new friends! Enjoy the set while you can. You’ll miss it all after!

Charge your phone before or in between sets. It’ll be good for emergency contact if anything happens. If you see something, SAY SOMETHING. Do not let robbery or harassment go unnoticed.
