In my experience with festivals, I’ve never waited in line before the festival opened and have always found a decent spot. Although this will be my first time at Innings. Anytime I have been in a pit, I end up in a different spot than I initially started in lol. In terms of using the restroom, it’s good to try and plan for a time during a set you aren’t as keen on seeing or between sets

I was actually looking this up a few months back, how to get barricade at a festival. someone on reddit said they brought a bowl to a festival and made their way through the crowd by yelling "hot soup, coming through".

I've been the only person passing out bracelets/necklaces at a show before and everyone was so thankful...the worst reaction I got was people being a little confused until I just told them I was just passing out free bracelets for fun and then they were really excited

But I went around to tons of people and didn't have one bad reaction, even though it was a the 1975 show where I didn't see anyone else trading! So I think you'll be totally fine and will spread joy!

But like society in
general is like Dema because if you think about it, its all performative to a point where we burn out. And politics are isolating us from the world and each other honestly. Even if you agree with someone it still plants seeds of distrust in wveryone else. Im not going too deep but we need to stick together as people and support one another because thats how were going to make it through the trying times. 💛

So far it features a surprise appearance of my kitty, me struggling for 4 minutes trying to bead one single bead, me mumbling to Saturday, and the bracelet constantly going out of frame

Ok it’s ready don’t judge my fingies i keep picking at them ok. And i realized i didn’t think i had enough string to do the loops around the letters the whole way so i redid that part before i got too far, BUT you can use bigger beads instead of letters for the circular parts if you want to do the same loopies the whole bracelet. Once it’s long enough and you want to tie it off, put the strings back through the first bead you did, make sure you keep the strings on the same side you pass the bead through or it’ll be twisted. Then pass each side through the small beads until you get to the crossover bead, pass one string through it so they’ll be on the same side and tie!!!

The first couple are hard but once you get the hang of it they’re pretty easy! The hardest part is getting stubborn beads i usually use teeezers to force the string through (can’t find mine so im using pliers)

I use the clear plastic stretch string size .6, don’t use the super stretchy stuff, it breaks too easy for these kind of bracelets and if you use a bigger gauge it’s like impossible to double through beads

i used some water activated paint off of amazon and it worked well but it transferred a lot like if it touch my face it would rub off slightly and shit hit the fan when i held up tyler’s drum and got basically waterboarded lmao it was everywhere

i haven’t been to innings itself but i’ve been to similar festivals and yeah you can treat it like a lawn ticket to an extent. blankets are allowed and you can find a spot to chill but remember concert etiquette and that if you want a close up spot you’re not gonna be able to claim a spot with your blanket. even if you can’t get close it’s a lot of fun no matter where you are i’ve seen many festivals and have been extremely far back and still had a lot of fun. most important things to bring are sunscreen,meds if you need them, good shoes you can stand in for a long time (i put insoles into mine a while ago and it’s a game changer), comfortable clothing it’s fun to dress cute but remember you’re gonna have to wear that all day and most importantly your wristband

i have been to exactly one(1) festival before, Dreamy Draw Music Fest, back in November, and it was small compared to Innings afaik

like, i cant find any pictures that show the whole crowd but this was the stage Saint Motel played from

and you can kinda see how far the crowd stretches back, they arent taking up as much space as it looks like the main stage crowd will be

(granted, there was also a performance by Vampire Weekend at Scottsdale Stadium, but they'd blocked off like half the field and it wasnt even full i dont think)
