I’m gonna send this as speak to text so apologies if something comes out butchered as a sales associate the customers that you deal with at least at my store are absolutely atrocious. They will fight you over a simple price change of $.25 and they are literally crazy. There are so many druggies so many people that just are insane literal tweakers people there are so many there are so so so many poop stories don’t even fucking ask or do if you want I can tell you them if you want as assistance store manager I kinda liked my job. I took deposits to the bank every night I’d close the store rarely open. It was pretty easy pretty easy stuff, but I still had to be on register fairly often and it basically just means that you are a shift lead and you in charge of the front of the store and you are given tasks by merch manager or store manager to give to the cashiers as merch manager. It was way too much responsibility. I couldn’t really handle it. It wasn’t worth it for the money because not only are you in charge of stocking 90% of every truck which comes on Monday every week. You are in charge of those 5 AM Monday trucks unloading them. If you do not have a stalker or somebody to help you unload them you are required to do it yourself. You are in charge of the entire warehouse, the entire sales floor and everybody who is a stalker.

I would say, though it was just not worth it for what you had to deal with the pay wasn’t worth it as sales associate I made 925 an hour as assistant store manager I made 1190 an hour and as merch manager, I made 1350 an hour. It was not worth it for the shit that I had to deal with and the responsibility that was given to me. I’m now a cashier at Casey’s. And I make nearly 15 an hour.

So I was like fuck you I’m not giving you guys the satisfaction of me staying here. I haven’t been happy here in a long time. I wake up every morning dreading work literally sobbing before work. I’m out of here.

they fired my manager who had been working there since she was a teenager (in her 60s or 70s) for seemingly no reason, the assistant manager quit bc after 7 years she wasn't offered her position, they hired a new manager and assistant manager, they both quit after less than a week. and on top of this they were not following child labor laws in regards to breaks and lying about it, they would intentially schedule people for 7.5 hours instead of 8 so they only had to give them a 15 minute break instead of 30 for lunch, there was one time i wasn't allowed to take my break until literally the last 30 minutes of my shift because the assistant manager was taking a lengthy phone call and couldn't cover for me, they were firing people constantly for absolutely no reason (not me though they loved me), the HR lady is one of the bitchiest people i've met in my life (and we suspect she's racist as hell and unfairly firing POC) and by the time i left i had been there longer than any of my coworkers that were not upper level management despite only having been there for 7 months

when i was hozier there it was a nightmare and it took us nearly 2 hours to leave the parking lot, we didn't get home until 4 am, but when i saw conan gray there we left immediately after the encore, booked it to my car, and then immediately went towards the exit and got out in 20 minutes so i guess it's just a hit or miss situation
