paladin strait, let em at that lore, no mercy
backslide
RITN
clear
ritn
Overcompensate tbh
HEAVYDIRTYSOUL
RITN BECAUSE ITS AWESOME
cut my lip
Ode to Sleep
JUST SIT AND CRY
Oldies Station
CLEAR ‼️‼️‼️ I LOVE CLEAR
Chlorine, that's the song that got me back into the band
Taco Bell Saga or Coconut Sharks In The Water
HOLDING ONTO YOU
oh hey ryley
probably ode to sleep. sets the mood i think
hai caitycat
unironically stressed out too
The correct answer
Jumpsuit bc its epic
holding on to you or chlorine
my blood😛😩
um excuse me.
Ode to sleep, because it's literally 3 songs in one and it's a perfect representation of the uniqueness of 21p
Based
Real
Holding on to you 🙏
Probably "Ode To Sleep" for me. It's such a showcase of everything TOP is so amazing at, in one song!
YESS
Uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh flight of isless birds
Jumpsuit.
It does a good job of hinting at the lore without being too much all at once while also just being a fucking banger of a song
Ride
navigating
Trees it’s my favorite song off Vessel and it should be shared with everyone
message man bc its a fan favorite and a good song
Oh my god.
IM LIDTENING TO IIFLE OF FLIGTHLEDD BIRDS RIGHT NOW
Morph, it's the most twenty one pilots sounding twenty one pilots song
@toxic stone of curse you see my message -.-
Stressed Out
Why no one saying Chlorine? Was how I found out about top
I did and now my heart is broken 😔
We only wanna show good songs like oldies station right?
Stressed out is one of their "safer" tracks, fits more in line with mainstream expectations of music and for a lot of people it's a gentle lowering into the tone of their whole discography. genuinely good starter pick for a song to ease someone in
It's fire guys
I mean....no
Semi automatic rehehhehehwhwhwhwhwhwh
Lane Boy always worked for me when i introduced the band to someone else
I would introduce fake you out then all of vessel and explain every song
Redecorate just cause it’s my fav and if they don’t like it atleast they listened to it
@old flame i believe your answer is trees right?
I think all of self titled would work to get someone into the band
Stop replying. I'm too busy crying now 😔😔😔
Bounce Man because it is a perfect song
Holding on to you I don't really know why I just think it represents their music well
I mean yes! Trees is the Song i would show new People. Trees needs some love❤️
Lane boy is also generally liked
No you arent i would never say trees is bad
Has to be chlorine imo. The outro alone makes it worth listening to for new audiences but there's something about the song just scratches that itch for me and a lot of other people too
I'd go with Ode To Sleep because it has like everyone TOP aspect. Besides, old TOP is way underappreciated
Are you gaslighting me rn?
All of Vessel to introduce them to the style and themes of the band but once I think they're ready we go into Blurryface and I explained THE LORE
Johnny Boy!! Absolutely love it
Ehmm....
stressed out, it was so popular for a reason. tried and true for getting people into the band
Fall away
Routines In The Night the song just got that radio & tiktok hit vibe (tho i wished it was played on the radio more often)
Personally, my brother used Jumpsuit and it hooked me up instantly
It’s from their first album
I'd too say Holding On To You cuz it shows so much range like rap and angelic vocals and screamo. However I have been successfully given a good impression to others with Routines In The Night and Oldies Station 🤔
i would say overcompensate or ode to sleep because they encompass all the quirks that form the twenty one pilots' uniqueness, they're the perfect way to show in one particular song all of tøp's essence.
We Don't Believe What's on TV
258 plays
Blurryface
1853 plays
twenty one pilots
39433 plays
cause yes
the first tøp song I ever heard was Forest which I fell in love with instantly so probably either that or Oldies Station
why is james hetfield in the reactions
Not today !!!!!!
also HAH 69
fake you out, holding on to you, or next semester
yooooo forest as a first song is wilddd, you don't see people having songs aside ride, stressed out or heathens as their first song very often, and forest if that weren't enough of a rarity
Depends on a person but probably either Car Radio (as a single song) or Jumpsuit (as an introduction to Trench)
Yes but no
yeah I have youtube recommend to thank for that
Slowtown the goat
tear in my heart, holding onto you, shy away livestream ver or hometown maybe
AND I'LL BE HOLDING ON TO YOU
Forest imo gotta get em hooked on the oldies
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS
It depends on what their music taste is, like if they like hard rock stuff then Id say Jumpsuit but if they like more pop oriented stuff then maybe RITN or Mulberry Street
Frfr
heavy dirty soul for sure or semi automatic
Definitely
Depends a lot on the person's kind of music
Yeah
If they like some heavy bass, definitely hiddens
If they like something more light too, maybe the craving
Shy Away or like Oldies Station
overcompensate worked for me so probably that lol
the only right answer
always thought how incredible it must've been having oc as one's first exposure to top
yoooo livestream version, i love that version is one of the greatest things I've ever heard
i also like it more than the original shy away but that's a talk for later
ride cuz everyone likes ride (or at least they did at some point) n guns for hands. although i saw chlorine on here a lot n that’s defo a contender too
Message man
ode to sleep, but could totally depend on the person tbh
probably their cover from uhh '' You... are taking so long... San Fransiscoooo '' definetly will make everyone a fan smh /j
CLEAR MENTIONED
This might be basic, but 100% Overcompensate. It’s catchy and a super smooth introduction, so it would be a good start to a new listener :)
oh it was. incredibly confused by the music video but the song was amazing. especially the drums. that beat switch is probably why i am here today.
Migraine lowkey
Formidable, Ride, or Oldies Station from the newer stuff; pretty much anything off Vessel.
YES ‼️‼️‼️‼️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That’s my fav on RAB I think
The outside because it may he'd their vibe and now they watch it on repeat
Matched*
Trees is so good
Shy Away
Yeah, totally.
Most of Vessel and most of SAI are great intro songs imo.
tear in my heart 😩😩
Ride or overcompensate or stressed out. Gotta introduce them to the hits. But routines in the night I feel liked would make a good one
lavish
did you end up stumbling across it or was it recommended to you
Probably Oldies Station or Jumpsuit/Levitate
i usually introduce people to the popular ones first, but then the first one afterwards would probably be overcompensate
the entire album trench
RAB and go up the release order
Depends on the genre, but I’d say jumpsuit.
Gf says the craving
All the way to clancy
paladin strait, overcompensate, next semester, or navigating
Trees is so good, RAB Trees is an abomination and should be cast into the fiery depths of Sheol
Migraine
Ode to Sleep, HDS, Jumpsuit, Choker, Overcompensate. In that specific order.
Or Vignette
levitate or maybe trees because they are just generally amazing
Probably Stressed Out if I’m trying to get them to recognize the band, but showcasing talent would be Car Radio or Holding Onto You
Something that shows their range of genre capabilities
Maybe the first 3 songs of Trench if it can be multiple
Fall away
ode to sleep
To show them what they’re capable of- house of gold then jumpsuit
Backslide or Nico and the Niners
probably morph
although it really comes down to the music they already listen to
probably chlorine, i feel like that song is their most diverse in style and shows off some of their best themes.
It's my favorite song ever !!! :D
Ode to sleep, pretty much the tøp version of bohemian rhapsody
Which ode to sleep version you showing tho 🙏
good question, probably vessel but depending on the type of person maybe regional
it really depends on what other music they like, I’d show them something I think they’d like
Clear is criminally underrated
It would depend on the person, if they like more gentle music the line, paladin Strait.. if they like more rap heavydirtysoul..
Fr
i usually show ppl holding on to you, heavydirtysoul, routines or jumpsuit
guns for hands
Migraine for the sole reason that it has always been my absolute favourite :D
Depends on the person. If they like heavier songs, into more rock type or metal, then HeavyDirtySoul, Overcompensate or Jumpsuit.
Into more alternative music, like Paramore, then Holding On To You or Next Semester
Into pop music? Scaled and Icy, starting with Shy Away, Bounce Man, and Mulberry Street
Taco Bell saga
morph was the song that got my friend into them!!
I would depend it on the person, and what they like or listen too, although I did introduce one of my friends to top with kitchen sink and she was absolutely blown away
depends, my list would probably be something like:
Tear in my Heart
House of Gold
Heavydirtysoul
Truce
more
Most songs from Vessel and/or Blurryface are usually best to introduce someone to the band
Navigating or Trees
paladin
ODE TO SLEEP i do it every time and they always love it
My blood with the mv bc it’s iconic (it’s my fav song and mv by them)
Stressed Out
HOTY
Ideally I'd show them chlorine, routines in the night, car radio, no chances and heavydirtysoul. But irl level of concern was what initially got me back listening to tøp as I kinda avoided trench when it came out weirdly.
Hds bc it suits regular pop sounds and a lot of people are interested in the regular pop songs
I always use Fake you out when introducing it to ppl
Fake you out is good
Cause it’s like upbeat
But also has the darker tones at the end
Either guns for hands or screen because they have some rap moments but also the softer vibes
Probably like ride BECAUSE there’s rap kind of rock pop and his rock scream
Kind of diverse to me
Probably either Midwest Indigo (bc it’s the first Tøp song I listened to) or ode to sleep
Paladin Strait
Car radio
screen 🥹🥹 it my fav
well not friend, please thats for sure
navigating or ritn maybe idk actually
Probably like Chlorine or Ride (Ik this is a basic answer don't come at me
)
ride because its a classic
Jumpsuit or Ride
I recently recommended three songs from the band to some friends: one popular, one from the 2018-2021 era, and one new. These were the recommendations:
- Ride. It's a classic
- Mulberry Street
3.- Overcompensate
air catcher
i need to spread air catcher propaganda
ode to sleep music video specifically
Addict woth a pen or glowing eyes
Heavy dirty soul, some songs from vessel, and, the classic, stressed out.
I change my answer to Slowtown
Oh yes that's actually a better answer
Depends on the music taste of the person I’m trying to introduce them to! I try to show them a song that fits the vibes they like best first, then show them other songs
Next Semester or Fairly Local depending on the person hehe
Depends on the person I'm talking to. I introduced it to my mom with Legend, because it's more chill and I knew it would make a good first impression for her. So I guess I would select the song based off the person's taste
It depends on the vibes of the person. More than likely Taco Bell Saga, maybe Drown, possibly trapdoor, and vignette
I showed my dad TBS and he banned me from aux so-
The Judge
The Judge
Overcompensate Jumpsuit and Holding On to You like is it even a choice
IOFB for sure (Isle of flightless birds)
oooh probably the one song everyone and their dog has heard stressed out then i'd branch out into the rest of blurryface then trench and so on and so fourth until we finnish clancy then i'd move to self titled and vessel
depends what their usual music taste is. pop fans I'll show Routines in the night or similar, indie Chlorine, rock Vignette
i would probably show them maybe Jumpsuit, or Lovely, or taxi cab
@crisp salmon TOTAL DRAMA IS READY
OMG
you don't have enough??
Im filling in lore charaexters
Wait why is this happening in here
Not sure how many ill have lefr
Okay i need 6 more
Like names?
OH WAIR I RHOIGJT THIS WAS FUCKING GENERAL
LEVEL UP: You are now level 26!

YEAH
HOTY
Without a doubt Jumpsuit or Morph
It'd probably be HOTY or Jumpsuit but depends upon the mysic they're into
Like for pop i'd slow them level of concern or routines
And maybe for indie or alternative I'd show them my blood
Pet cheetah
Honestly chlorine, but like I'd prolly forcefeed them Slowtown whether they'd like it or not.
Uhhh probsbly Ride
I feel like My Blood or Morph
My Blood or Midwest Indigo
taco bell saga
HeavyDirtySoul tbh
really anything from clancy and scaled and icy :))
i'm gonna sit you down and make you listen to their entire discography, then do a power point presentation and explain the entire lore to you in full detail from start to finish...
and you're going to listen to all of it because i'm gonna test you on the lore afterwards to make sure that you were paying attention to me
I think it’s best to use the songs that sound the most fundamentally “Twenty one Pilots”. Which in my opinion would be Heathens, Morph, and maybe holding onto you, and overcompensate. But idk if that’s really accurate. This way they get a feel for what the rest of their discography sounds like (for the most part at least)
No RaB or no Phun intended because it’s not on any major streaming services, and who wants to be introduced to a band with a song you can’t even listen to without finding a fan made lyric video or something?
i used morph when i introduced them to the band
Depends on the person cuz if they are chill type then I'd probably say cut my lip or mulberry street. If they're metallic type is say HDS or yk what i mean
NUMBER 169??? gotta say Lavish for this (i’m a menace but idk i normally don’t. maybe friend please coz i’m evil and maybeeee vignette?)
taco bell saga, duh
probably At The Risk of Feeling Dumb
ima say screen or heathens/trees-livestream version
You would either make this person a clikkie for the rest of their life or turn them into the biggest tøp hater of all time
Oh damn maybe I should do this instead
Jumpsuit makes a lot of sense to me
holding on to you
Acatad, if they don't like it, they're not my friend anymore
It depends on what genre of music they prefer in all honesty
Wait Legend maybe
I would probably start w one of the more well known ones and then go straight into Heavydirtysoul, Ode to Sleep, Jumpsuit, and then Kitchen Sink to explain the different sides of TØP and how they can really do any genre
I'd sit them down and start at vessels and make them listen to the entire thing
My brain says navigating or lavish because… duh… bops. My HEART says Oldies Station 🫶🫶🫶
Realistically Stressed Out or Ride
Tbh to introduce someone prolly smth like overcompensate or car radio but to prove someone does know them heathens, ride or stressed out
slowtown. the perfect mix of catchy and introspective lyrics
Fake you out
really depends on the person but probably lavish since it worked on one of my friends already >:)
successfully got one of my friends into them after having ned’s cozy fireplace on, they asked about it so I showed them the chlorine mv
have also used ode to sleep before because it’s like a tøp sampler
I’ve introduced one of my friends to tøp with the song Migraine
but in general, I might use the song Holding On To You or Bandito
ode to sleep: it incapsulates the band’s sound and vibes the most out of any song due to its contrasting verses and choruses.
My Blood is the only correct answer here
That's tough, because the discography is so vast in genre and scope... I'd probably have to say Guns for Hands, it's pretty much the best description of their style, usually happy sounding music with down to earth and thought provoking lyrics
oldies station
Stressed out, chlorine, or legend
Probably ATROFD & Stressed Out
Awesome picks
Toco bell saga d:<
Either Ride or Stressed Out because they’ve become their more mainstream popular songs.
Absolutely love to introduce ppl to Ode to sleep and Holding on to you and Chlorine cuz it sparks curiosity
Jumpsuit, Migraine or Next Semester
Car radio
Tb saga ofc
I put a lot of thought into this I think Implicit Demand For Proof because it's the first song released
Wasnt it Air Catcher?
Probably but Demand For Proof is the first song on Self Titled
Jumpsuit
high hopes
stressed out obviously, or vignette or chlorine
I’ve used next semester/backslide/vignette and it always goes really well
Stressed out. Mostly bcs my mom is in love with that song
Prolly the Clancy album and if they like more to look up rab and Taco Bell saga
Than start from self titled and go up from there
Heheheheheh
Hearing all these answers is making me regret that I got into TOP through Blurryface of all albums
prolly something off rab so they think its shit and never even try to listen to any of this shit band again
why its such a great album
Not nearly as great as stuff like trench vessel and Clancy
I think
And also SAI and self titled
Some I&C song idk
I got into them through blurryface as well
I was so happy to realize there was more great music to catch up on
Blurryface was the most popular one, for me it was the first album I heard too. But hey it's not a bad thing, BF is great as an introduction to what they did on Trench and definitely is like a starting point for a new fan
Maybe Stressed Out. Basic stuff i know
TB Saga for sure
i’d give them lavash
Probably Tear in my heart, cause it was also the first song I listened to by them
routines always
Shy away cs it’s my favorite idk
'redecorate'. it's my favorite song, and i think its message is incredibly important
Shy away
Routines in the night
@true badge I agree, what an amazing song
Damn, this is a hard one if I want to know if they’ve ever heard twenty one pilots and they say they haven’t ride or stressed out or heathens would be what I would have them play if I wanted to introduce them myself probably blurry face, trees, overcompensate, back slide, next semester,
If I’m wanting them to hear more about the “message” redecorate, guns for hands, or back slide would probably be the one I would go to
Jumpsuit
Snap back
