im wondering if 'carved pumpkin' either somehow refers to ned (in which case no idea where to take that), or if its like a thematic clue for how to handle the static.

clipping the static into the song... its like the song is the pumpkin and the static is the void you carve out.

i tried putting the timestamps of the static on a 9x9 and 11x11 grid (ie like a nonogram) to see if it made any images, spelled a word, etc but it didnt

some other ideas:

• try timestamps from the full song not just this clip

• put together the audio that the static cuts out from the full song (like kinda invert where static and audio is)

• try harder to see if the encodings of timestamps above are somehow ciphertext bc i barely tried, but thats bc the pattern analysis just didnt look right to me except for maybe for morse or binary (or maybe something else im blanking on like hex or whatever) -- but in any case idk where one letter starts and another begins

i had a breakthrough but im either really really bad at spelling or stuck again

static binary encoding before the 23 1s decodes to 'doublec' or 'double c'

but then i tried ccrvdpmpkn, cccrvdpmpkn, ccarvedpumpkin, and a few other variants to no avail

so its either still missing something, or a super crazy coincidence that i i managed to get 'double c' out of encoding the song/static to binary

have to combine it with at least the static portion, which so far i have 'double c' for, but have tried all of the obvious variants of applying that to crvdpmpkn

so theres either a third piece to the puzzle, or 'double c' is just a coincidence and not actually the solution to the static portion, or i somehow am being very dense and missing something
