I have always loved the feel of Implicit demand for proof and ive had a whole concept for self titled floating in my head for a while. Implicit demand for proof introduces the character for the first time as they are in a church for a funeral or by a grave of a loved one. They beg for god to show them that he is real. Near the end they run into an open field as they ask for god to "reign down and destroy me" during an awful thunderstorm. As the music calms down the rain slows and eventually stops, and it slowly zooms out with the character in the middle of this open field alone as they scream. That scream at the end gives me chills every time

Actually here's a rough idea:
First Verse
Tyler wakes up with a smile in his strangely colorful house. He makes himself a cup of coffee and turns on the TV, where footage of absolute chaos outside plays. He quickly gets bored and decides to take a walk.
Chorus-2nd Verse
He's seen walking on the sidewalk of a city that is falling into pieces by the second. Building are collapsing, there's fire and smoke everywhere, there is no sign of life left anywhere, yet he's just casually walking by with the occasional dance move

Idk what to do for the bridge or the ending, if anyone has any ideas I won't mind

as tyler starts singing, we get a closer shot of the side view. tyler mouths the lyrics, and josh turns to acknowledge him, while super fast shadows keep moving in the periphery.
tyler sits down, then cut to tyler and josh performing in a room with lots of stopped clocks on the walls
as tyler sings “i wanna be in slowtown”, it’s a shot of him laying on the floor back on the road in the forest closing his eyes

on “i put my socks on my feet”, it’s them putting on their socks because i just find it funny. then they also put on their shoes and get ready
the moment we get to “and i walk through my door”, tyler pokes his head out of the tent and gets out to find out they’re in a town kinda like in stressed out/backslide. josh is standing outside and turns back to look at tyler, then beckons him to start walking
tyler looks around and we get shots of people in their houses/backyards/whatever just minding their own business but super slow
we get back to tyler and josh is stood a bit away looking at him like 🧍
then as the verse starts we go back to tyler and josh performing in that room with the clocks
when we reach the bike riding parts we go to tyler and josh riding bikes like backslide and just vibing
then we get some shots of kids playing in slow motion as tyler looks to the left, back down, and right. then tyler stops his bike and looks to the front again, cut to kids jumping on a trampoline
then we get a shot of tyler stood on his bike in front of those kids in their backyard. tyler looks to the side to find josh missing, then a truck or smth comes into view from the side
next shot is josh rolling down the car/truck window and beckoning tyler up

on “and i walk through my door”, tyler climbs up the truck and gets through the door. it’s kinda like midwest indigo as we look at tyler sitting down and buckling his seatbelt. after he settles, he looks sideways at josh, who was looking at him and then turns to the road and start the truck. then we see the speedometer going all the way up and then an aerial shot where the truck just speeds away, leaving tracks behind.
we see tyler looking uncomfortable pressed to his seat and looks at josh, who stared resolutely ahead and keeps driving and keeps his feet on the pedal
then we get to the bridge, where we’re back in the room with the clocks but this time all the clocks are running super fast like mad spinning. tyler and josh performs.
for the second half of the verse, we’re looking at tyler in the truck again, he is staring out the window at the rapidly moving street view, then forwards but not straight at the camera, then lifts his head and closes his eyes

as we get to the shouting part, we’re back at the room with the clocks, shots of tyler and josh performing and, like, looking really into it
when we get to “i walk through my door”, we’re on the road in the forest again, but it’s dark and tyler gets out of the truck and shuts the door. he looks up and see stars in the sky.
for “hey, hey”, we’re back in the room with the clocks but it’s dim and the clocks are missing hands or broken. tyler stands and sings into the mic he’s holding in that delicate kind of way
after “just singing”, we’re back in the forest road with the starry night sky. we see tyler’s back as he walks forward, dragging his bag behind him. far ahead, josh stands holding a torch, but we can’t quite tell which way he’s facing. the screen goes to black as the song ends

it’s quite literal and tbh i don’t think slowtown really needs a music video, but it’s still fun to visualise all this in my head

tuler on a large rock in the middle of the ocean, while the sun is setting slowly, and on that rock is his piano and ukulele. he walks over to them and sits down on his piano stool and picks up his ukulele as he plays birds start walking over to him. ravens and doves. some of them perch on his piano. while others just surround him and walk around as if he has something they want. as the song title states these birds are flightless.

then as he is singing the chorus, we get a flashback in a black and white filter. and it's his memories, good and bad. and he walks down a city street and just observes how others communicate to each other. nothing is heard, you just hear the song.

goes back and forth from him playing to flashbacks.

until verse 3 where he gets up off his piano and starts walking as it is now night time and he heads home. as the last line in the verse plays as he his about to head inside the camera tilts down and there was a little dove following him home and then it cuts to his piano playing the outro itself and the videos slowly fades to black

I think I want to make Redecorate's music video.

I would want someone better than me to do it true justice, honestly. But in my head, I have a few ideas, so here they are hopefully in a decent fashion.

The video would start with a very, very messy room. There's a person in the middle of the room facing away from the camera. Bonus points if their gender is ambiguous. Door closed, darkened, curtains closed. The only light is supplied by a bedside table lamp but it's still kinda obvious that the room is a disaster.

When the (cowbell?? thing??) happens at the start and the drum gets introduced, I'd like to flip it between a younger version of the room and the current day room that we see. The younger room is much brighter, opened windows and sun shining in, cleaner, tons of hobbies everywhere. The person in it is much younger. It is clearly the room before... whatever happened.

We hit the first chorus, we see the younger person holding up their hands in front of their face, flipping them back and forth to the sound of the cowbell, similar to the rooms flipping. Disbelief, perhaps?

We hit the first chorus, we go back to the room, they open the curtains and the sun comes in and truly illuminates the room. Lots of editing and jump shots to the sound in the background (I really like that sound), we're actually cleaning parts of the room. We make a small dent in the mess but we're far, far from done. We never see their face - always, always looking away from the camera.

Second verse, we're back to the younger individual. Different place, schoolyard, tons of kids running around, them standing in the middle. They go ignored. Nobody even acknowledges their existence. Back still to the camera. They don't even try to join in, don't try to speak, don't move. Just physically there... mentally, not.

Chorus hits, we're cleaning more of the room, this time we start making the bed. It's getting nicer. There's not much left to clean.

Bridge -- Parents talking to them. Parents seem concerned, their body language gives off this sense of fear. The person, back to the camera, hands over their ears. They're not listening. The parents don't acknowledge this at all. They just keep talking, concerned, gently rubbing their shoulder, trying to get them to talk or anything.

Next chorus hits, the room is finished cleaning. They have a piece of paper in their hands. They're shaking pretty badly....

The second time the chorus is repeated, they rip the note and throw it up in the air like confetti, we flash back to the younger room, there's a friend in there with them. Schoolyard? They were never alone - people were talking to them and laughing. They were laughing too. Parents? No hands over the ears. They look like they're crying. All the while, I think it'd be nice to keep flashing to the paper fluttering down around them between these scenes.

Second chorus ends, the last part of the song is playing, they stretch their neck, their arms, and then they go to the door, open it, the room is still bright, they take a deep breath... and out they go. Out the door, into the world again.

Am I a little on the nose? Absolutely. I think Redecorate is a very sad song about a very sad event, but I think a music video that contrasts that would be... lovely. I think the repeated cowbell sounding noise would be wonderful to map flashbacks and scene changes to, and there's just so much potential with interpretation.

the run and go sounds like someone is holding a gun to tyler’s head and forcing him to make a happy sounding song, so i’ve always imagined that it’s music video would look disturbingly nice and happy, similar to the vibes they were going for with Good Day Dema. Tyler escapes and runs off stage for the bridge of the song, which is why the end of the second chorus kinda sounds like it’s glitching, because tyler breaks something in order to escape. I’ve always imagined a “technical difficulties” screen appearing right before the bridge. Tyler sings the bridge in some dark room he’s hiding in (the bad guys are looking for him obvs). As the bridge fades out, the door cracks open (they found him) and we cut to a “we’re back!” card or something. as the last chorus starts you can see that tyler is bruised up and physically restrained so he can’t escape again. But he does. during the loud part at the end (“tonight i need you to stayyyy”), tyler is being held down by several employees as he is fighting them, trying to escape and breaking stuff in the process. idk if it’s cooler if it ends with him escaping or if they knock him out lol
