Not today is an awful song imo. The instrumental and production is unlistenable to me on top of some horrible lyrics like how Tyler shouldn’t be seen as weak just cause he plays the piano or whatever. I think not today shows the worst of what blurryface has to offer and all the flaws of blurryface are apparent in that one song.

Besides regional at best (cause it’s all demos and Tyler couldn’t sing back then) I think Blurryface is easily the bands sloppiest work to date

i can understand that somewhat but also some of those lyrics are just meant to be closer picked at, like playing the piano is seen as too emotional for men in traditional standards (not saying i agree with them but they are unfortunately there). it's got a lot to say honestly and to me is a great example of what depression can look and feel like. you can be happy in appearance but really down and don't even have the motivation to grow up and do anything. and sometimes you need that person saying "hey, no, let's get you back into shape and ready to take on the world"

that's how i do my rankings too tbh. like i am a diehard tøp fan, i wouldn't still listen to them so hardcore after all these years if i wasn't. so even if i say something is my least favorite i don't absolutely hate it. like SAI? love the album, it's a great vibe for summer. but it ranks low for me because the lyrics aren't quite as deep and emotional for me. which being "dema propaganda" means it did its job. and blurryface, ranks lowest for me mostly because i listened to it so much that over the years it became mind numbing to me lol
