Braille is written from right to left and read from left to right, and that kinda ties in with the right left thing.

Braille is written on the back of the page to make the raised dots and then you turn the page over and read it left to right.

my thoughts on next semester that no one asked for, gonna block some parts (tw: panic attacks, suicidal ideation, etc.):

I have thought that the intro and verses sound very panicky since i first heard the song. Seems like tyler is thinking back about a time he felt anxious about school and the pressure to do well academically and to make big life choices as a teen or twenty-something depending on whether this is high school or college.
verse 2 is the more obvious panic attack stuff imo feeling pressure in the chest/suffocation, loss of feeling in extremities are all panic attack symptoms.
anxiety and depression of course go hand in hand ||i imagine you all have heard (or potentially even experienced first hand) some people think they're having a heart attack or think they're dying rather than having a panic attack due to the similar symptoms. i wouldn't be surprised if tyler did have a really severe panic attack(s) that he might have thought he was dying or wished to disappear rather than keep feeling what he was feeling|| hence the "I don't want to be here/what's about to happen"
if it is referencing a panic attack then I'd also add that for me personally when I've had them I often remember odd details really vividly like the background noises around me at the time so maybe having some visual details stand out really vividly while experiencing the panic attack is what's meant by the yellow dashes and the clothes he was wearing?
||i don't necessarily think he was literally standing in the road about to be hit or driving and nearly hitting someone else||, it seems metaphorical as it would be unlike tyler to be so direct in his writing imo
he hints at a lot of stuff but hasn't ever been very direct about his exact history with mental illness
the part that i am not sure what to do with is the "hey kid get out of the road" though i sort of assume he maybe had an older adult help him through a rough time and with working through guilt about something he's done

idk if it'd be reaching to far to think maybe ||he had self harmed at some point and feels guilty about that|| feels similar to the this bit from guns for hands "I know what you think in the morning

what seems to be happening, i might be wrong, is that each pair is adding up to a unique number

i have no idea how unlikely this would be, maybe its mathematically normal

but for example, 38 and 49 are duplicates, we know they go together.
38+49 = 87
and so far no other pairs add up to 87...

If you take the number 120 for example, there are 59 pairs of numbers adding up to 120: 1+119, 2+118, 3+117 and so on til 59+61

I found a nice website that allows you to "create custom music box melodies" using provided music box paper. It even lets you listen to it if you so desire! It's still difficult to decipher each individual note on the book pages tho since they are so compact. Plus, it would probably be helpful if you can read sheet music lol

Oh hey, mine's got them too. I thought maybe at first it was just the line moving in each chapter, but it moves within the same chapter too. And if you curve the pages to get a better look, they're more visible in one direction - top line when you curve towards the back of the book, bottom line when you curve towards the front

Sorry just seen this and I have to make sandwiches for feral teenagers, but a quick flick through says it's mostly in the chapters but also text pages at the end, and between pages there's a blank page, sometimes two, a chapter title page, always on the right (hence the occasional double blank page) but also sometimes a double page of quotes. I'll take more pics after sandwiches.

As you can see it’s not that easy to decide, whether the dots really follow a strict grid.

As far as I would say as a musician: if the dots are notes then it is not written in a key. I have put them in a midi editor and it sounded as bad as expected and completely random.

ok! So! First is a foreword from Josh, no dots. Then a blank page, a title splash page, and the intro, where the dots begin. It's pretty tricky getting shots with the pages uncurved, but there's 3 lines on the right hand pages, two at the same height, one higher, and Discord/my phone is going to make this infinitely more annoying by rotating all my images, ugh.

The lines/dots on the left are also misaligned, but not as obviously. the first one is slightly lower than the next two.

Then there'a a blank page, a title page, and a double quote spread, all with no marks.

Good lord I have no idea how I'm going to get more photos without bending the pages to bits 😭

I thought this might be the case, too. Like we were grasping at straws. But I'm a layout and book designer myself and it makes 0 sense for all of those lines to be in different spots on the page. Any designer worth their salt knows how to make those be in EXACTLY the same spot. The software does it for you. So either whoever put this together made a novice mistake (totally possible) or it's an intentional easter egg.

I just can't decide, because on the one hand, I did once buy a professionally published book in Waterstones that had several pages repeated instead of the pages that were supposed to be there, and I had to exchange it to get a version that, y'know, I could actually read.
But on the other hand, we are talking about this in a channel for a digital artbook that had a puzzle we didn't realise existed for a solid month, so of course now we're suspicious of EVERYTHING.
