This is a discovery that has already been posted on TikTok, and has been referenced in the theories chat. Although this is not my original theory, I'd like to open up a discussion thread about it.

When reversing Nico's audio at the very end of Paladin Strait, a hidden message is revealed:

Use that code.
Wait for me.
[unintelligible]
Wait for us.

The question is...what is "that code," and where do we use it?

#

While I was skeptical about this audio at first, this is 100% real, and can be found in the official Paladin Strait audio. Feel free to test it yourself using this website (https://audioalter.com/reverse), or any other audio software that has the ability to reverse audio.

What This Means

In my opinion, this message at the end of Paladin Strait is a major indicator that there may in fact be a Clancy ARG waiting to be solved.

We know a Paladin Strait music video was supposed to be released in early June. "Early June" has clearly already come and gone with no updates, which has left a lot of fans speculating about the absence of the music video we were promised. However, what if the music video WAS released in early June...and it's out there, waiting to be found?

Perhaps the "early june" release for the Paladin Strait music video wasn't referring to the video itself, but rather...the code that will unlock it?

I've listened to myself and it really just seems like people hearing words from reversed audio,
Firstly it's a very clear and lore relevant message when played forward, in order for a moment like that to also perfectly be a clue that lines up with how they want to tease things in reverse would be an insane coincidence
Second it's not very clear sounding, unlike previous reversed messages which are incredibly clear and easy to understand like in natn,
Your brain is very pattern seeking, and it's easy for it to make anything sound like words, especially when it's looking for them, people have falsely claimed hidden reverse messages ever since we were able to reverse music

#

That's just how talking sounds when reversed

I definitely agree that people can be far too eager to hear "hidden messages" in reversed audio. Any human speech reversed could have the illusion of sounding like it has hidden messages. It's very possible this audio clip could just be another example of pareidolia. A lot of factors surrounding the release of the Clancy album have left some fans (including myself) feeling less than satisfied lore-wise, and this might just be an example of people seeking hidden clues where there are none.

You also make a very relevant point that it would be difficult for them to hide a reversed message in such a specific phrase as the FPE line. In contrast to this Paladin Strait audio, the hidden message in NatN sounds like complete gibberish until you reverse it. This obviously gave the boys a lot more freedom to hide whatever hidden message they wanted to in NatN, since it did not have to sound intelligible when played forwards.

#

However, it's certainly not impossible to hide a reversed message in audio that is intelligible both forwards and backward. Even if it's not perfect, I find it astonishing just how clear the supposed hidden message is at the end of Paladin. It's also an amazing coincidence that the words "wait for me" and "wait for us" are in there, since that directly ties in to the lyrics of Paladin Strait itself.

#

I'm still a bit skeptical myself. If anything, I consider this audio file to be an indicator that there could potentially be a hidden code in Paladin Strait itself. I personally wouldn't waste too much time digging through Clancy: Digital Remains or anywhere else.

#

That said, Clancy: Digital Remains is incredibly sus, and it's possible there are also uncovered hidden messages there. But that deserves its own thread. 😝

If we are looking for a code, could it have anything to do with the missing songs (Not today and Goner) on Tylers list with songs. Since Goner (14) was in the original code 15398642_14 (a number making it's return in the routines in the night video on tylers t-shirt). Mabye it's a a stretch, but it was just something I was thinking about today.
