so i havent used IG in years before this but apparently now it does this thing where the first message you send any account youve never msged before is a "message invitation", and you cant msg that account again until they accept it. i managed to get my main locked out of being able to message the band account this way when i dmed them to move them to the top of my dms list, so i had to make an alt so i can try to get tickets for the next show.
if i message them the code for the next show once they announce it, will the account automatically accept my message invitation? ive seen some people say they had to send the code upwards of 10 times before they got a reply, if i dont get a reply the first time i send it am i just screwed?
