Kinda depends on how much you wanna be able to interact with whoever you’re with, probably won’t be super easy to talk to them but if you’re both okay just sitting back and enjoying the show it’s not an awful idea

Seat rows aren’t that far apart but the distance is enough that it could be really hard to hear the person behind/in front of you when the venue is full and everyone’s talking

If you zoom out of there as they’re walking off stage from their bow you can also get pretty close to the front of the merch line then

Once I was literally the first person at the merch table after a takeover show because I got up right when they started walking off stage and went to the table, nothing happens after that point so you miss nothing and generally people are a bit slow to filter out

If you have seats and don’t have to worry about a place in pit you can also just go during the openers assuming you don’t care about missing them

At most of the shows I’ve been to they’ve had a stand or two of merch outside before doors opened

They even had guys going around taking merch preorders with a qr code from people in line

Qr code thing was just icy and I haven’t seen it at tøp shows before that but hopefully they keep doing it
