Hi friends! It’s been a bit since I’ve been in here but I’m so so excited!! The only time I have been to a show was my freshman year of high school and I just graduated college. It’s been a DREAM to be in the pit since I was in middle school so I’m so stoked

So excited for you! That first pit experience has so many emotions involved! Biggest tip is make sure you try to keep hydrated and know your own limits. If it becomes too much you can always move towards the side or back of the pit and still have a good time 🙂

For trench, the venue gave out wristbands at 8am and told to come back at 6pm for the show with numbers for their order. Thats the only wristband system I feel like is valid.

during the icy tour, i feel there was a significant mix between long time fans and people who just wanted to go out and do something. i sat next to the most obnoxious drunk people, one of them would not stop yelling “LET’S GO” on the top of his lungs. there was a lady next to me who was drunk off her ass and kept bumping into me while hilariously slurring her words whilst trying to sing along.

i guess that’s just what happens when a band gets more recognition over the years. the live crowds become a mix of different people. probably not the same experience in the pit though.

Also, in regards to drunk people and stuff, it’s a massive arena show and this band has been around for so long. While we seem to still gain younger fans every era, the band and fans have aged a decent amount to where drinking and smoking will be relatively prevalent. Especially when it comes to seats! That’s kind of a given for any arena show I feel like

And regards to line leaders… unfortunately there’s no stopping them. The band’s security honors their system. The venue did a good job last time but yes there typically is still a separate self-made system for campers. There’s not usually a ton of them though, and if you only go by the venue’s rules then you’ll likely still get very close to barricade but not barricade itself unless you’re a camper

Which is unfortunate because lots of campers are people from out of state so they get barricade every show they go to

Closest I got to barricade ever was Takeover at the Greek Theater, it was only a 200 person pit so kind of hard not to be close to barricade lol. I got to hold Tyler’s drum island platform during Trees for the first time and that’s enough for me 🥹

i actually ended up getting it from ticketmaster! i got lucky and saw someone listed their ticket for face value so i bought it as quickly as possible! but the other ticket i was looking at i found on reddit from r/toptickets and it was also face value!!
