hmm. for a one time thing it was worth it for me because i had a great time with my friends in there, but also we would not have been in the 3rd to 4th rows in pit without fpe. if you have GA, fpe lets you go in after the first 500 wristbands which was very useful since we got there at 4:30pm

we had an absolute blasttt being that close in pit, and then the goodie bag was neat (can take a pic in a sec) and lastly they had a big thing of capri suns to take from and you could write a letter or two to the band and drop it in a little box

i've been to a lot of concerts since i got obsessed with them in 2021 (bc of takeover tour) and it's hard to say any show comes close to the showmanship they display and improve on during every tour.

like the main things i could say is the top artists in the world have better set designs, maybe because a) they can afford to spend more and b) more space at stadium shows. and they can afford a lot of backup dancers, but it's really difficult to imagine tøp's show being better with backup dancers. their stage presence is far more than sufficient

Past tours I always stopped recording in between songs so they were smaller, easier files to share... Like 300mb per song after transcoding. A single 60+ GB file is just a little bit different lol

Whole shows are tough on my old arms too, not too many break points in this set list so I just said eff it and let it roll. Some parts definitely aren't my steady... steadiest... not my most steady work. My end goal is to take whichever show has the best audio and use angles from Oakland, LA, Chicago, CBus, and Minneapolis - edit the best clips from all those angles into one seamless "mulit-cam" show from all the different vantage points.

Yeah matching the audio with all the videos and making sure every snare hit is seen and heard in perfect sync was painfully time consuming for that Lane Boy... That was my first go at it, and my conclusion was: I need to find a better way.

So that's the plan this time.. Find a better way so it doesn't take me six months to finish.

But first- get these to a place where I can share each show in full...

Yeah hotel wifi isn't often going to have much for upload capacity... My company is a hosting, email, datacenter and event streaming provider with 100gigabit pipes so I can get stuff uploaded to places relatively quickly once I know where I wanna put it..
