synthpop is one of my fav genres and i listen to a bunch of 70s/80s music, so im used to things sounding dated. but i think the synths sound super dated on vessel in a very jarring way because you can't contextualise it, it wasn't exactly decades ago. there are better synth sounds from the fucking 1970s. so it just sounds tacky

  2. i think the drum fills are more vibrant and the high hat work compliments it very well
