It was teased as "Clancy Ultimus Capitulus" which means it's not going to be Blurryface-branded, and the fact that they did it this way knowing the 10th anniversary of Blurryface is around this time means the timing is intentional. But note the importance of “We must destroy them OR we will become them.” This implies that the Bishops aren’t completely destroyed. Nico is still alive, even if Clancy beat him, and is probably the one tempting him.
So I wonder if the plot will be a mix of Torchbearer trying to get through to Clancy to save him and then the two of them burning down DEMA, perhaps Clancy going down with it?
As for what it means metaphorically, it could be that Ned giving Clancy the horns and Clancy using it to seize the bishops is a metaphor for using creativity and songwriting to fight back against the glorification (and stigma?) of suicide in the media. But perhaps Clancy being manipulated is like a metaphorical cautionary tale of obtaining power and influence (and a platform) once you have used your creativity to make such songs, and then the risk of being influenced (mental health + the industry + influence from others) to perpetuate the very thing you were fighting against.
